De Gea is easily £20 million when you think about it hes young and could have 20 years ahead of him in goal! Also he is sheer quality

Isn't this the last transfer window before the UEFA financial regulations come in?

Last chance to spend big so smaller clubs are taking advantage of the super wealthy clubs?

I think we should fight a £27m bid off and wait for £35m.

    Great point!

As much as I love him, with Barcelona now reportedly interested in Enrique, NOW is the time to sell him and get a silly sum around £20m.

Unfortunately, Barcelona seem to be one of the few massive clubs who are still careful with their spending. For example, they're currently battling over Fabregas but they've never gave in to excessive demands.

i know, £17 mill saddens me..

even more so when we dont even need the ****ing bloke! we're crying out for a couple of quality central midfielders and a goalkeeper, and maybe a left winger. one position we are strong is centre back!

apparently blackburn wouldn't budge from the £17 million release clause he had in his contract, which is why it's at that figure.

still, could have been put to much better use.

About 12 million too much! For a guy who hasnt even been given a international cap!!

De gea isnt a too bad deal, he will be a quality keeper and give many years service
