Thanks Bushman, great stuff.

I met Alex Stepney at Old Trafford a few years ago and said I remembered him from his playing days. He smiled, expecting me to mention appearances for England or Man U, but I told him I was referring to the day he let six in for Millwall at LR. He was very gracious about it and said he remembered it well.

I remember Rodney scoring a great goal at Millwall.
Getting back to the station that day was about the scariest time I can recall.

Perhaps you could sign a firm up on loan to help you out? Joke

I think you are getting a little bit confused Houston.
Marsh never scored at the Den while playing for Rangers.

That 1966 game at LR was nearly abandoned if I remember rightly. There were a few minor pitch invasions when Rangers scored, and later a bigger invasion from Millwall fans who wouldn't leave the pitch. Don't suppose you have a match report Bushman?

Our Championship fixture, 8 March, 2011 with the much travelled Andros Townsend playing for Millwall.

We really get caught out on their 1st goal.

Championship leaders QPR slumped to a surprise defeat against Millwall after conceding two second-half goals.

Similar scenario this time around - hopefully we fare better!

QPR v Millwall, March 1966
Both clubs were pushing for promotion from Division Three when they met at Loftus Road. Millwall’s Len Julians was struck on the head by a coin, which he promptly threw back into the crowd during the game, but crowd control soon became a problem as QPR went on to win 6-1. After each goal, the customary pitch invasion ensued until the stadium announcer threatened that the game would be abandoned if they continued. On hearing that, the travelling supporters swiftly invaded the pitch in the vain hope of getting the match abandoned and subsequently replayed.

Thanks Tramore, I was 12 and a bit when that was played. Sometimes I think I may hold that team in a little to much esteem, then I see a few clips and....yes Col, we were very good, and this was 2 years from the finished article, Jago and Venables laying the foundations for Sexton.

Ah Bushy, you are a marvel.

The scary thing is that he knows most of this stuff without looking it up in his archives.
