Maybe its just me, but sorry..I cant find anything to man about yet this season??! Am i missing something (Apart from Adel- Just for you col) !!
Whether we like it or not Queens when Adel got the ball there was a real buzz at Loftus road ... I would ask anyone QPR fan to focus on why that was? We will thrash out forever how useless he was or how brilliant ... The fundamental thing for me is his footballing brain and teh reason I stand forever that he was the best player I have seen since Zidane in the flesh. We currently have a very good team playing beautiful possession football ... a solid base IMO put Adel back into that and it would be very interesting ... Krancjar is playing his role at the moment and doing a fine job as he grows into the side ... The difference for me is that Adel would try anything at anytime ... maybe that pissed fans and team members off but on song we have a complete library on the stuff that did work. He remains my current favourite player where ever he plays based on his skill in a game and his vision
I think the tippy tappy 30 - 40 passes is deliberate and IS to serve a purpose. I heard an interview with a player (cant remember who)in the last 7-10 days who made a point about this. Teams are coming to LR and setting up shop to stop us playing and are happy to contain us. They are flooding the midfield and putting 10-11 men behind the ball. This defensive set up is very hard for even the best footballing team to break down. Therefore the idea is that we pull them all around the park, not letting them get possession, which not only demoralizes them, but eventually tires them out and that is when there is more chance of them losing concentration or making an error which allows to get in behind them and punish them. Hence why (IMHO) Hoilett coming off the bench in the second half and going against tiring fullbacks is more effective than starting him out wide from the start when the opposition are playing 5 in midfield and there is less room for our wide men to get at defenders. If that's the way it has to be at home this season, then so be it.
Difficult to fault that logic, and totally understandable. Will be interesting when we have another top 6 club come to LR
