One thing that is for certain is that Ukraine will smash the pasty off San Marino so England have to win.

I have a feeling Poland will make life very difficult and just to add to the tension Mr Lewandowski will put them infront. I see a repeat of that all or nothing David Beckham free kick against Greece at Old Trafford. Cue Rooooneeey!

Will we do it? Do we care?

Seems that England supporters don't care that much as Poland have been given 18,000 tickets for, what's in their case, a nothing match.

Listening to the pundits (I know) and players you'd think it was a foregone conclusion, Poland will be no walkover. I reckon a tight game and few goals, mind you I had Friday down as a bore draw so who really knows.
Do I care? about England yes about the same old tired one trick ponies we have as players no, as we all know they'll more than likely be on the first plane out of Rio. They will then proceed to blame the manager for trying, the fans for turning up again for a no show, the media for getting on their backs or solar flares knocking Mars out of orbit momentarily, anything but themselves because they are great.
It's not often I agree with Joey Barton but, he got one thing right the other day with his rant, we have not had a golden generation of footballers in England.

The reasoning behind 18,000 Polish ticket allocation (double the usual amount for any visiting team) is because of the high population of Poles living in London -so the F.A and the Police on the grounds of Health & Safety have stopped the Poles attempting to buy tickets in home areas.

To be honest I know the reasoning, just wanted to throw the figure in to see what people thought.

I don't agree with the decision.

There will only be around 60,000 paying England supporters and they'll be easily out-sung, unless there's an early goal for England.

This is a vital match for England and a nothing match for Poland.

Why should we allow other country's supporters to bully us into issuing more tickets for them ....... would it happen if the roles were reversed, doubt it.

    Really?

    Giz a clue mate.

I once got into trouble when I was interviewing a lad for a security job.

I noticed his strong accent and asked if he was Russian.

    "No, I'm a Pole."

"Are you positive?" I said, and laughed my head off as I thought it was really quick.

He took it the wrong way and walked out.

Mentioning the link between Poles and builders was a bit of a laugh IMHO.
Some people in the media need to lighten up.
for a dour bloke it was kinda funny.

Don't really care any more, but if we won the WC I'd be the first on the bandwagon :)

TBF, I am a bit more excited about England now Hodgson's playing some of the younger players. However, I am sick of the Rooneys, Lampards, Gerrards, etc. STILL getting selected after multiple abject failures. Personally, I'd drop them all and start from scratch with one eye on 2018.

Don't give two ****s to be honest.

International football bores the pants off me.

Especially when England are involved. it just becomes a circus and there is very little attention of the football.

Last international tournament I enjoyed was the one when England didnt qualify, simply because the focus was solely on the football.

It's poor to call him out for that.

Does anyone get all hysterical because people call Northampton, cobblers or Scunthorpe, iron.

It's what those places are know for, not an insult.

Or do the PC lot think the Polish are over here dreaming of a new life in impressionist painting?

    Yes I care!
I'm proud to be English and will always be behind my national team.
Same as at SAFC I will always be behind the team no matter who controls the strings or plays for us.

I would be gutted if we didn't qualify, I ****ing love football!
It's a right bore watching the finals without us there.
Will it be en easy game?
I doubt it, with the Poles having free rein and our players arses twitching.
Hopefully an early goal for us to calm the nerves and no sitting back to hold onto a slim lead.
As to do that could lead to disaster.

    I fancy us for 3-0
