Just that you were so certain he was gonna leave Real and come play for Moyes. Of course I was so certain he was not
Nope, it just means that delusional Utd fans can no longer claim to be a major force in European football due to their newly found place in the 2nd tier of the Premier League. As you've said yourself many times, 'the table never lies'
He will leave the circus. Even Reals biggest and most loved heroes eventually leave the merry go round that is Real Madrid.
You can only truly judge a team over a league season where each team all have to play the others home and away. I pretty certain Man Utd will still finish not only in the top four, but the top three.
But.....its still possible that we will be here after the seasons end laughing our bollocks off at Utd finishing out of the top 4 and in the Europa League or worse than that.
Hope so Based on the league season last thirty-eight games, the fairest measure of a sides quality. Sure, you can look at how sides are performing but then, we don't really deserve to be second considering how poor we've played at times (more than well too). Go back twelve months and the awful start we had, was you saying we were relegation fodder?
Honestly... I wouldn't want united relegated... I would rather hang around as a non threatening mid table club... perhaps become an earlier this century Everton... stuck in constant relegation battles. ... not going to happy... but would be more fun to watch.
I'd agree. As funny as it would be at first, it would be **** not having the games against them during the season
Utd were a non threatening midtable club for the best part of 26yrs Milk, apart from when they got relegated to division two.
You are missing the point. The driver of those things that held that club together is no longer at the helm. Be it fear or inspiration the man who appeared to make teams perform better than they were is no longer at the helm. For United even more than most sides, reflecting back on what has gone before delivers a misleading picture.
Moysey has been scouting over the weekend. please log in to view this image At Fleetwood. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...uting-trip-Fleetwood-Town-v-Chesterfield.html
I'm not missing the point at all. I addressed the change in manager by pointing out that we were in a similar position last season yet there was no way we were considered relegation candidates despite having a shocking start and being right near the bottom. In equivalents, that is liking to Man Utd winning the league last season to dropping into the bottom half this. We both had a new manager, coaching staff and a new Managing Director (or whatever the **** they're called). Do you seriously expect them to carry on as they are? Well, that is only a matter of opinion that can only be based on those first seven games (sticking to the league here because of the comparison), hence my comparison to us last year. At that point, our stance was "wait until the season ends before passing judgement". Obviously, that wasn't the case for everyone; aka the opposition, MFG and the female poster who's name has escaped me ATM but ****ed off because she didn't agree with anything happening at the club. If you want my opinion, they won't be as good as they've been but nor will they descend as people are suggesting. I expect the to finish in the top three still. Edit: Wishi
You see, this is a major problem with some of your supporters. They would be happier to see United drop down to your level than see you raise to Uniteds level and be competing with them for the title.
Not often I agree with you but I do here. I often said (when Rafa was in charge and one of the many rumours about Fergie retiring cropped up) that I didn't want Fergie to retire before we'd overpowered him. Mainly because I wanted us to "knock him off his perch" if it were. I truly believed Rafa could have done it and still do had he been given the backing after finishing second. However, that's a debate for another day.
