Signing players is an auction.Two clubs may make exactly the same bid,but a player has to choose which one to join as he can only join one.
Its dog eat dog.The other club has to find an alternative.Man United wanted Henderson,we landed him,we wanted Jones,they have almost landed him.Fair is fair.
