I'm still a bit mystified by the criteria for our hate figures. Anyone who likes money except Mackie. Anyone who played last year except those still with us this year (except Zamora). Anyone who has left the club for a season except those that come back and do well. Anyone who speaks badly of the club except those who later say they shouldn't have said anything. Have I missed anything?
If they do their best for Queens Park Rangers FC they can be paid whatever, say whatever, **** whoever. If they don't do their best for Queens Park Rangers FC then they can throw themselves off a bridge. Obviously this is fairly subjective. Personally, being a goalkeeper myself, I didn't think Cesar did his best for this club in many games, as talented a shot-stopper as he was in others.
We are talking about the same keeper who single handedly kept us up and in touch of the rest of the prem last year arent we? the same one who was mom more times than anyone else up to xmas..... short memories for some ..!!
I'm well aware he put in some very good performances as a talented goalkeeper should. When the going got tough he couldn't be arsed. Villa away is the one that most sticks in the mind but there were others.
Yes, there were definitely others. Everton away sticks in my mind. I watched his body language closely that day. To say he couldn't be arsed is being extremely complimentary.
as others have said, when he realised that we were going down he was only interested in picking up his wages and having nights out with his scumbag mates, while wearing a scum shirt he's a ****er
Fair enough WATS, but I think that without him we were dead and buried by October. Think that once he realised we weredown he probabl gave up & looking at the plaayers in front of him, I would have too No one can deny he tried at the start....but having Hill (much as I like him) in front of you in the Prem is just asking for trouble. He obviously took his cash knowing full well that the team weren't good enough.. Anyone think that putting Green in would have made any difference?...didn't think so. You go to the game WATS so you prob se what I don't. I just think the most decorated member of our team get a lot of unjust stick....easy target...shall we point it at Adel?..He was there too..?
nelsen was my player of the season might not have stayed all season but he put in more effort than most
The bloke has done little wrong IMO He has conducted himself very well during this time and has been no problem to the club ... Harold's words more or less He was up for sale because of wages And his desire to play at the highest level Green last season was poor and not in the same league as Cesar He is injured You lot really are fickle at times looking to pick on any player Cesar biggest mistake was the Chelsea shirt saga About time it sunk in that all players are just in the game for money if you believe other stuff you are sicker than you know
THIS................................ Oddball hits the nail on the head, there are some on here who just want a gripe at anybody or everything week in and week out, the same people would find fault with certain players even if they scored a hat-trick in the cup final and we won 3-0. The same people who find fault with Rob Green even though he has kept 8 consecutive clean sheets say it's the defence and not the keeper doing it, forgetting that he has still saved everything that has got past the defence in those 8 games. These same folk would moan if they won the feckin lottery and discovered they only won £5,000,000 and not £6,000,000, they are just un-happy with their lot and will never change, they are the Victor Meldrews of the site and nothing will change them !!!!!!!!!
Once again this thread shows how easily one can be fickle about players. There's many of us - probably me included - that has sympathy for Loic Remy's desire to play at the highest level during a World Cup year, hence his loan deal to Newcastle, and would love to see him back in the hoops of Queens Park Rangers, but accepts this probably will not happen. In his short time with the Rs he performed well, scored some vital and exciting goals and pretty much did the job he was asked to do. Even with the allegations hanging over him I have not seen a single vitriolic post about him on the board. Cesar, at the other end of the pitch, generally did what was asked of him behind ten men of whom a significant proportion were coasting on neutral for a large part of the season. Perhaps he was one of these coasters, but I'm not totally convinced of that, specially when set alongside a Bosingwa or a Cisse. If he had been then I doubt he'd have been recalled by his country. And yet he has become a hate figure for a good many fellow Rs. It seems to me that his only "crime" - at least one the sets him apart from a Remy - is his being pictured in a Chelsea shirt whilst at a private party for a fellow countryman. Sure, it's a shame they didn't don the yellow jerseys of Brazil instead, but is what happened that big a deal? Personally, I find it more upsetting seeing Remy dressed as a Magpie and Mackie in the Forest red. Sure, he probably tried to get away during the close season, but failed. Those that tried to leave and succeeded, like Dribble Sissy, are not despised to any real extent simply because they've gone. We can be an odd bunch.
Got to hand it to you.........even on a thread about a goalkeeper you manage to get Taarabt into it! Outstanding!!
Worth pointing out that according to Harry, Nelsen couldn't wait to leave, he was disgusted by some of his team-mates antics...
