Pretty dull and obvious article, but it is quiet on here ........

    http://www.getwestlondon.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/qpr-midfielder-open-to-offers-6168145?

Ale Faurlin would like a new QPR contract – but the midfielder insists he is established well enough in England to find another club if needs be.

The Argentine midfielder has all but come back from the dead to win a place in Rs midfield over the last two games, but is in the last year of a four-year deal.

His representatives sought a new contract without success in the summer, but Faurlin insists he will go elsewhere if it means playing games.

“This is my last year, but it’s not my decision,” he said.

“I try to do my best and I look forward to staying in England, and I can say I have played 120 games here. People know you if you play long enough in England.

“At 27 you want to be relaxed, with a contract, and not in the last year. But if I play my part, it will not be a problem finding a club. If you are not playing you try to go somewhere else - that is normal.”

The family man with children whose first language is English – not Spanish – reckons if Hoops come to him earlier than June 2014 when his contract runs out, he will pick up a pen.

“If they ask me to sign I will sign without a doubt," he added.

“I am not the sort of player to wait and see what happens, because you never know what will happen.

“I don’t like to gamble. I like where I am, working hard and showing the manager that I want to be part of things.”

    ---------------------

I guess we all have pretty well established opinions on Ale.

It looked like Redknapp had discarded him up until a couple of matches ago, but starting in our last two matches has given me renewed hope. I'd like to see him get a few more matches to show his worth or not. If he has fully recovered I'd definitely sign him up on another deal.

Dont know you can say "discarded him", Harry may have been working with on how he wants Ale to fit into his preferred lineup, and it may have taken Ale a while to prove he understood it.

Fingers crossed Ale continues to develop.

I'll be shot down for this but he's not for me.
He's had plenty of time to establish himself at our club and hasn't. Several managers have not rated him highly enough to make him a permanent fixture in our team. We will be playing Prem football again next year and IMO he isn't mobile/pacey enough to hold his own in the engine room.
As I said, I know this will go against the grain but it's how I feel.

You might be proved correct, Nuts, but if the Rs continue this tippy-tally, to me, to you, Chuckle Brothers, possession version of Association Football then we may find Señor Faurlin is a completely different player in that system, compared to the one that requires the goalkeeper to find the big centre-forward as quickly as possible. If you want a guy to sit in the middle of the park, interrupting the opposition's play and then playing simple balls around a simple diamond, then I think he may fit the bill.

Will we be playing in the PL next year? I'm not so sure, but Ale has skill enough and desire enough to play for QPR so I will be very happy if he gets a new contract whatever League we are in.

Give that man a new contract ASAP imo.

The way he played against Spurs away last season was superb, so he can do it at PL level imo with the right players around him.

    No.
Adel is good enough IMO just a lazy git. Ale has a good attitude and seems to be a model Pro, it's just that I don't rate him.

Totally agree. Before he recked his leg he was our midfield lynch pin. If rumours are to be believed Wenger had him watched during our promo season & our first season in the prem.

I'm not interested in getting involved in an Adel thread Queens.
I have my opinion on Ale. It's my opinion. I'm not saying that I'm right, only that it's my opinion. I didn't force it down your or anybody else's throat.
You have an annoying habit of turning every second thread into an Adel thread. Give it a rest please. [/QUOTE]

Think Harry may be warming to him, which will never happen with Adel, so hopefully he will get a couple of yrs extension, anyone who read Warnocks book the gaffer will know how he was described as a Gem of a player, and one ofthe best players he has worked with. I dont think the same will be said of Adel, that season was a one off, I`m not saying Adel only had one season in him, he will continue to play the way Adel does, but the circmstances, that came together that wonderfull season can never be replicated.

Good attitude but not good enough for PL (he hardly played even in Italy when Palermo got relegated).

You're not going to get anything out of them mate. Nobody's ever going to give credit to the small number who said, in May 2011, that Taarabt ain't got what it takes for the Premiership.

Even though you were proved totally correct, you'll still never get anything.
