Skybet suspended on Phil Jones move to Liverpool

I'm loving this. Liverpool's ruthlessness in the transfer market is forcing Fergie's hand whereas ideally he would prefer to see these players devlop at their current club to justify their price tags. Liverpool are in a position where making these sort of gambles is probably what is needed for us have a chance of breaking back into the top 4.

In a sense Liverpool showing intention to sign Jones has forced Fergie into a snap move...

But if that's what it takes to make us sign i'm all for it.
If he turns out great it'll be a good bit of business.

But to actually suggest we only want Liverpool targets is abit grand.

The only issue with me comes if we were intending to use Jones' money to buy a centre mid..
And have decided not to just to sign Jones before you.
My guess is that Jones was one of Fergie's targets for next season.

If you knew anything at all about who your club is after then you would have known mata has been linked with man u for weeks, the spanish sky programme reported it and its been reported on the radio etc, and sanchez we have been linked to before along with man u
The thing with henderson was we actually stepped in and got him before man u who wanted him as an alternative to fletcher who has many injuries, and by the way samba is an excellent defender and more impressive because he is looking good in a team who were quite average this year

Henderson's situation is similar to Ramsey's - more than one team wanted him. We seemed to show more interest during the season/ January.. But now we seem more focused on Young.

It seems likely that he won't be signing Sanchez,because his valuation is £5 million short of Udinese's.He's only offered £25 million and Udinese want £30 million.

Sporting Lisbon were prepared to sell for £4 million and Liverpool were prepared to pay that amount,The Govan Gob butted in and Sporting increased it to over £12 million.Liverpool weren't prepared to pay that for a then 18 year old.However Ferguson himself refused to take a punt on Torres whom we signed and we sold for a £30 million profit.
