How can anyone say finishing 10th was 'a bit of luck'. The final league position isn't decided on what happens in the final game. What happened over the other 37 also have to be taken into account.
I wrote earlier about 7 reasons not to sell Hendo. Logging on in Singapore (a typical Asian country obsessed by the EPL especially tax drivers) I see we have (almost) sold him. This proves. We will never reach Top 6 , with the sale of Bent and Jordan. The SAFC owners have reconciled themslves to this in terms of ambition It proves Hendo is a really good player - attractive to judges like Kenny D - and good luck to him really hope he makes it. Like I said in a previous post, the passes to Milner and Gyan when the pressure was really on were what attracts the best managers. But - and this could be the good news - if the Darrent/Jordan cash is reinvested and spent wisely - we could still be towards the top of the next group i.e. 10th to 7th. Maybe relaistically thats the best to hope for? The key thing now is for SB to buy a couple of really good 5-15 million players and a few squad players. Lets see.
My issue is not with selling Henderson as this is a good wedge for a player that has been average. However, he has been average because he was a) overplayed and b) played out of position. The issue is with the reported inclusion of N'Gog as part of the deal. The term "journeyman" could have been coined to describe the likes of him. Liverpool and their fans will be delighted to get rid of him.

We finished where we finished, you cannot say that we could easily have finished 15th if results went against us as we could have finished higher if Villa had been beaten, it cuts both ways. If being a football manager was so easy the we would all do it wouldn't we and don't be a saddo and mention fantasy football The table don't lie, ask Birmingham, Blackpool and West Ham, we were tenth.
My feelings on Bruce are well known, have never liked him other than as a player, dont know him as a human being , so cant comment on that, but as a player, he was robbed of the the rightful caps and shirts that he deserved, Now then, as a manager IMO, hes lightweight, why , club after club does he spends sqillions on new players every window? he nearly Knackered Brum, how many players did he bring in, and how high did he take them? answers on the back of an atom please. Sorry SYD,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Still Bruce out.
and at Wigan Bill? Brought in some good players, achieved better than previous finishes and helped them to their best ever finishes in the premiership. You cannot be selective, Bruce is well respected among his peers and respected journalists, now I'm going to be controversial - I tend to value their opinions more than yours or any of the Bruce out brigade(do you all suffer from premature ejaculation as well I ponder), because getting rid of Bruce would also be premature. Sorry Bill, still Bruce in
