Unless he was born in the past 7 years he won't have been born in Montenegro...

Man of the Match: Andros Townsend.

Very impressed.

Impressive to score an own goal from that far away <laugh>

Cheating spoils football. Being a smaller side doesn't make it okay.

Anyway great result in the end. Glad we finally gave the dirty bastards the hammering they deserved even though the result didn't really reflect the game overall. Agreed with Townsend for motm. I wondered if he might struggle trying to cut in on his left but fair play to him he was comfortable going both ways and has clearly got a right foot too. Excellent stuff. Onto Poland!

Didn't really see much cheating – saw a few unpunished (arguable) fouls but nothing much else. Nothing that different to what I see in our league and other leagues around the world on a regular basis.

Not as if England play some amazing 'brand' of football either that was ruined by brutish, thuggish opponents.

Besides, I'd take kicking a team off the park any day of the week if it meant a result for City

We've guaranteed at least a playoff spot now. I don't think it's mathematically possible for us to have the worst second-placed record.

Possible playoff teams:
Croatia
Romania (or Turkey)
Greece (or Bosnia)
Sweden
Iceland
Portugal
France
Ukraine

As he's English and at Spurs I assume he'll be coming our way at the end of the season. Looking forward to it.

They weren't that bad today tbh apart from throwing us on the floor at every set piece in the first half. It was mostly the last two games against Montenegro that fed my hatred of them.

I don't know what you mean about the style of play. We aren't as good at it as Spain or Italy but we certainly play good football.

Nailed on that we'll get France, Portugal or Sweden.

Hopefully we won't be in it - but if we are, we're likely to be seeded (based on the Fifa rankings) with Croatia, Greece and Portugal (although we could drop below Sweden too). France would be the dangerous floater.

England are in the process of calling up somebody from the under 21s to the sqd to replace Cleverley. Roy Hodgson wouldn't divulge identity

Bring Huddlestone in!

On current form, probably Ravel Morrison.
