Artur was quite right too. I believe the ball was still in play at the time. What I imagined he was saying was, congratulate me later, go and do your work.
Am I the only one worried that we might get a last minute penalty, with the score at 0-0, which Rickie takes, only for Boruc to save it and Rickie never scores a Southampton penalty again...
Yes, because England would never do something as sensible as allowing its best penalty-taker to take a penalty.
Well, Artur is quite used to scoring, nothing new to him http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mDdrHUUz_II http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=42QZLku7XjA And as far as the international matches are concerned... You now, I think the memory of 1973 haunts us in Poland way more than it haunts England. It marked the beginning of the golden age of Polish football which is now long gone so this match is repeated ad nauseam presumably to invoke the good times but in fact it serves to depress the population I really hope however, that England looses point against Montenegro and we somehow manage to squeeze a victory in Ukraine. The media frenzy before the "New Wembley" would be unbearable but this has a potential to be the match to remember. And beware, Boruc was made for the nights as these, that's when he shines his full light! Oh, and for those of you who don't know: our legendary golden goalie, the Hero of Wembley, Jan "the Clown" Tomaszewski has indeed turned out to be a clown. He's now a MP in Polish parliament and his daily routine consist mainly of spewing hatred in the media. Every once in a while he goes to some TV show and reminds everyone that he was the man who stopped England back 40 years ago and now everything is ****. I hope Artur won't follow his ways when he gets older though I wouldn't exactly mind if he becomes the next incarnation of Tomaszewski for those short 90 minutes on Tuesday. The front page of Poland's biggest sport's newspaper - "Boruc again 10-handed!"
