    A new one on me...

I thought I'd share but given his age I woulde assume there may be nothing in this.

He seems to know where the back of the net is though......

Rumours and speculation are rife among the internet community about the suitability of Nice forward Dario Cvitanich to fill Newcastle United’s need for further strengthening in front of goal.

While United were able to secure the services of Loic Remy on loan from QPR for the duration of the 2013/2014 campaign, the consensus is that the Magpies still need to add to their striking options if they are to press for the top 10 finish which manager Alan Pardew and various players claim to be the club’s target for the season.

It would appear that Cvitanich could well fit the bill. Despite scoring 13 goals in only 30 games for Ajax, Cvitanich went on loan spells at Pachucha and Boca Juniors, before joining Nice in Ligue 1, costing the French side just £250,000. This bargain basement price has drawn comparisons with the comparative peanuts for which Swansea City secured the services of striker Michu, a revelation for the Welsh club.

With 24 goals in only 37 league starts for Nice, he shows no signs of letting up. With United’s penchant for scouring the French market for undiscovered talent, could this be the man to fill Newcastle’s striking void?

Only the player’s age (29) would appear to count against the striker.

Doesn't fit the profile, and regardless what Pards may say about the policy not being completely rigid, I don't the board will sanction such a move. I don't think they'll sanction any move. Even if they do, drunken Joe will scupper the talks
