Bri, I stand by what I said mate, I haven't singled any player out, or jumped on any bandwagon.

I'm on about flanders mate. Think he's being a bit of a hypocrite. Agree with you 100%. You should edit out the Swearing and abuse(he he) and send Elis it.

as I said in my original post...I don't diss ANYONE on this site, I have better things to do. In MY opinion I think Stu is not a Sunderland fan, not just for his response to on this thread...but for loads of posts he makes. So if that make me a hypocrite...then so be it. If you think the guy has a balanced view on all things Sunderland, then fair enough. I don't think he does.

Sorry fella, Got the wrong person with the Hypocrite thing. Please accept my apology. But I do think you're being inconsistant. Stu made a tongue in cheek parody of an Ellis short letter reply which highlights issues a lot of us a expressing and you attack his Allegiance. My views are similar to his and you haven't attacked mine. I've looked through your posts and you haven't attacked anybody elses. You say it's his past posts as well but I've looked through them too and he's said nowt wrong. In Fact he's been quite balanced and sensible. He's highlighted Paolo's mental state, questioned his tactics and his man management at the same time praised his work ethic, fitness policy and the professional attitude he expected from his players. He's also questioned player attitude and board decisions of the past. On our present situation he's come across to me as very balanced and addressed various problems at various levels within the club.

Harsh to question his allegiance mate, really harsh.

All the downbeat people need to remember - we have played 4 home league games and 2 cup games and not ONCE have the players been boo'd from the field. Fulham, Arsenal, Liverpool and Man Utd and every time we have played some football and been unlucky. Clapped from the field in every home game this season. Says it all really - but, unfortunately, it doesn't get us points!! I'd love to see us play crap against the mags and sneak a 1-nil!!

Not many clubs have had harder home games (ignoring the Fulham one) than we have

As I said Bri...Its just my opinion..I have read his stuff since the MoN days and his constant criticism of certain players. I simply do not see a guy who is a Sunderland fan, I see a wum who takes any opportunity to spill out bile about our club. Maybe I just keep my opinions to myself in future

Fair do fella. I think there's a fine line between opinion and accusation, the fact you've not met similar opinions with such disdain prompted me have his back. Stu and I don't always see eye to eye and have endured a sometimes turbulent forum relationship with him by my own admission but I don't think the man has done anything to warrant this attack. Yes his Criticism of AJ has been long, trying and sometimes irritating but it's his opinion. I have similar feelings regarding Seb. I've said my piece and I'll now step back and wish the both of you the best of day. <ok>

Spot on Marcus, the way some are talking you'd think we had 3 games left and needed 10 points FFS. We're 2 wins away from 4th bottom and 3 or 4 would see us well out of it.

Well after all that ,it seems if anybody has a different tact than others the bottom line is they question your support or call you a mag, as soon as that happens i know there will be no more debate or views because there is no point.
Yes some of my comments are tongue in cheek and sometimes i miss the point being made but does not mean i do not support sunderland.

Ok my take for what it is worth is that under MoN we were missing MoN's sidekick, plus MoN was an old style manager and the quantity and quality of training was not very good but the boozing was.

Short spotted this and enter PDC who cracked down on everything concerning boozing and diet and seriously upped the quantity and quality of training. However when he lost some games his volatile temper came to the fore and he lost it in a radgey gadgey style and how dare he have a go at JoS who cost us the game at Palace.

I reckon we have a an average group of players and whoever comes in has to tighten the defence up and aim for clean sheets cos' we are not going to score a lot of goals, I want the best two suitable individuals at the club to play wing-backs and Giac to play behind the strikers, if Catts can keep his mojo up he becomes Captain once again and JoS can probably be on the bench (too slow and his passing is poor). Come January I would flog Wickham cos frankly he was a bet that has not worked out and Johnson cos' he is a luxury we cannot afford, I would use the money from the sale of those two, plus I hope say £10m from Short, and buy a really good forward to work with Fletcher, Altidore is a back-up as he has failed his audition, not as bad as Graham mind..but he is not cutting it.

i have been saying this about johnson for months and months ,but having this opinion makes me a mag apparently , he is supposed to be our jewel in the crown with a huge wage every week , hes done nothing imo to deserve what he gets , but as we know that deal was by somebody who is no longer with us.
As a person who thought martin oneil was poor and was glad when he was relieved of the job , i have also said again today if he had bally beside him instead of that waste of space walford i would hazard a guess he would still be here now

When Johnson arrived I thought brilliant, McClean one wing, Johnson the other and Sess playing behind Fletcher...just watch the goals flow and MoN I man I much admired as manager...awesome I thought..

However further down the line MoN has gone the football under him was dire and McClean gone (good riddance) and Sess (still not sure if that was a good sale) gone. Fletcher who MoN brought in looks a good buy (perhaps expensive?) but Johnson what has happened to him..Giac who is an Italian international and looks it when he plays pretty much consistent effort and touchs of magic...but compare him to Johnson very occasionally does he show what he can do attacking and he is woeful in defence.

I do wonder if AJ is a luxury we cannot afford.

Thing is mate we need to win two games and win well then, rely on other teams not winning or getting any points whatsoever just to scrape 17th. When was the last time you saw us win 4 on the bounce? ****ed if I can remember and, all the positivity and faith in the world will not change that.

Looking at other teams results the win by norwich at stoke was huge for them, now they have a run of games which look very hard ,we could draw level with them .

Talc, who said we need to win 4 on the bounce? we just need to start winning the easier matches, if there is such a thing anymore? there's 30+ games left to play mate, we don't have to win them all and we don't have to do it now. My point was, if we win a few games then confidence will grow and we should all be able to breath a little, we just need that first win.

Took the last part as meaning 4 on the bounce mate as 4 points gets us bottom still.
Can you see us winning any games anytime soon mate as I can't?

    Defo mate.

If we can nick a couple of a wins on the road and nick a few points at home against the big guns and the scum, then i think going into the Christmas Period with about 10 or 11 points then I think we'll still be in a position to recover in the second half of the season. Every single home game from the 21st of December would be regarded very winnable for any home team outside the top 8. We should be striving to not lose a single home game from that date and with a few wins and a bit of momentum we can make it to safety imo.

This season is far from over for us but If we have less than 10 points at christmas then I think we could be goners or cutting it fine at most.
