Well done Michu you Jack bastardo !! http://metro.co.uk/2013/10/06/swans...r-world-cup-qualifying-double-header-4136405/
So that puts him officially higher than Soldado and Lorente !! absolutely ****ing un reall news for him and Swansea city ! we got Dutch and Spanish internationals but nobody good enough to play for the mighty England ! Well done del bosque, I read that he regreted not giving him a call up before ,glad he is a man of honour
Maybe so, but he aint gonna play 90 mins for Spain and get flogged, they have enough players to share it around and in the case of Michu something like this might be a reason not to move clubs in the future, if he can play for spain while at the swans it would perhaps satisfy him ? Irrelevent of the swans for a moment im really pleased for Michu. He didn't play well today and lets be honest we have won plenty of prem games when he has been injured so I think we should be really happy for him, it will also show that hard work (take note chico) will get you the rewards
With PGF on this. Of all the players we needed to have a rest it was Michu. Just hope he doesn't feature to heavily as we need him fresh for when the league games re start.
I actually think something like this will give Michu a boost not make him tired . Since when did 2 games a week 2 month into the season make our players so tired anyway ? Gordan Strachen made a cracking point the other nite. "if your a good player then playing 2 games a week is what you should be aiming for " meaning that all good players are playing Europa league and champions league football, its part of the progression and all things considered we managed quite well in the lower leagues ,granted at a lower intensity. Laudrup is moving players around to cope and im also thinking that the odd game sitting out would do michu the world of good, maybe it will direct more traffic towards Bony instead ? This call up imo is massive news for him and also a massive boost for his confidence just when he needs it, don't underestimate what this call up will mean for him, swansea ,laudrup and all the Spanish lads ! All of a sudden the rest can see a way to te national team at Swansea ! that will be good for us surely ?
well deserved michu concerned about fatigue and risk of injury but wouldnt deny him a start for a great spanish team and will make watching them more intresting than ever.
I will also say that perhaps Michus poor display was because he got the call up to the national team ?? he certainly was quiet and avoiding getting hurt, not like him ! It would also explain why chico was playing like a big time Charlie, perhaps trying too hard to impress ? just a thought...
Truly deserved. There has been said a lot of things about Michu but I don't think there's said enough. That guy is pure class on and off the pitch. He's a true carnation of what all footballers should be. This will also increase his price tag for when he wants to move on. Depressing as that might sound, it's bound to happen sooner or later.
Yes he will want champions league football sooner rather than later wont he ? It will be a sad day when he leaves
Amazing, and am chuffed for the lad. A real Roy of the Rovers story with his rise from the lower leagues of Spain. From a different slant, Kerching...if one of the "big" clubs really are interested that just added £5mill on his value and even more if he takes his chance. Who knows, Villa may not get back in . If he does really well, forget about penny pinching Arsenal, the likes of the Real Madrid's megabucks will come calling.
I reckon Laudrup used his Spanish connections to get the call up so that Michu feels 10ft tall when he comes back to club duty. Clever man that Laudrup. Congrats to Michu, a well deserved and hard worked for call up. Jack bastard.
Bigger risk of injury but who can begrudge it to him? Well deserved and not the first to be given the opportunity internationally following a move to the Swans.
He's in the squad as a Forward when he prefers to play as an attacking mid-fielder. I don't think he will get on the pitch but I hope he does and good for him. Congratulations Michu.
Surely you must be pleased that Michu has a chance to play with iniesta, xavi and go to the world cup? ....I know you be worried about rest and bigger clubs sniffing around but for Swansea to have their star player playing for Spain will be great for the club.
