We could've used him today with Coutinho and Suarez being missing. While we were chasing shadows today young Suso was rattling this one in.

Nic goal but I dont think Suso would have made a difference. I think he needs this loan.

He certainly wouldn't have had that time and space.

We'll never know if he'd have made a difference but I'd have him in before Luis Alberto or even aspas or sterling

I wasn't saying he'd have scored that today for us but you know that.. He has more of football brain than the 3 I mentioned above though

Hash, Suso has a lot of potential but really does need a good seasons experience before coming back as a stronger player. I don't really think it's fair to write Alberto off as he hasn't had the game time to change his game yet. Sterling is very lightweight. Somebody said earlier that he's like to many push and run merchants - very little brain! Aspas is a totally different style of player to Suso and I think he'll get better as the season goes on.

Having said all of that, we don't have a like for like replacement for the little Ford.

  7. I've said that about Sterling (& Walcott) a few times but usually get lambasted for it

Yes, I saw the conversation with Willy Wiltshire but I agree with you. Their first and only thought is to push the ball and run. Trouble is Walcott has now learnt to cut in and shoot across goal. Sterling hasn't because he's not quite as quick. So Sterling then gets shown up for his lack of ball control.

He had a golden opportunity late on today and his touch was just too heavy. He didn't even seem to recognise that he'd thrown away one of our few opportunities to score!!

Passing sideways and back is not creative in my book

  11. I saw that conversation but I wasn't involved. I've discussed it many times in the past though <ok>

From what I've seen Sterling has more tactical awareness than Walcott. I agree that he's not ready and that we should take our time with him and ensure that he doesn't end up another SWP.

I say play him more at home from the start or when we are winning and take the pressure off him.

I agree with Hash to some degree Aspas is struggling and needs a boost, Alberto needs game time but again in the mode of Sterling.

Sterling might be inexperienced but we really need his pace in the team. Look at that second half, the only threats we created were when Sterling got in behind them twice and Gerrards free kick. Personally I think we should always have Sterling or Ibe in the team. Even if they aren't the finished article their pace will stretch teams and create chances.

I do think having Suso would have helped yesterday. Sturridge needs some help up top whether it be Coutinho,Suso or Suarez now he's back. He's done well to nick a couple of goals but he's been really isolated most of the time

We could really do with Suso to play the number 10 role in Coutinho's absence but no one could have foreseen Ford's injury. No point keeping Suso here as a backup because he needs first team football, which is what he's getting and he's performing very well.

Can't wait to see him back at LFC next season <ok>

Just been over in Spain for the week, (100k from Almeria) was going to go and watch Suso play.

Had no internet over there so couldnt get any details for the game so didnt bother.

Then found out they were home to Barca...Gutted.

Suso is playing brilliantly for Almeria and will return to us a more complete player for the experience I think.

I hope he stays as there will be interest by the end of this season

The finish was a lot more impressive than the pass! Who scored it?
