I have seen Hunt play a couple of times for us and Green and I thought they were both terrible... I keep reading fans echoing how poor Hunt is week in and week out, I can't say the same for Green as he was dropped for a while. I then wonder why, when our manager made a name for himself as being a good scout he didn't see the potential in Mowatt earlier and I question was the £1.2m spent on Murphy a wise decision when we are so weak in other areas. Very confusing...
I personally hope the diamond formation's days are numbered. I've never been comfortable with it. We have the players to play 442 or 433/451 interchange. Not convinced we have the players for the diamond.
I was a bit perplexed with our performance to be honest, we usually only play that bad at Oakwell! I had to check with my mate that we were actually in Derby not Barnsley! BMcD talks the talk, its time now to walk the walk. M.O.T.
And yes, Hunt IS that bad. To be fair to him, he even admits his form is shocking. Poleon would or Diouf would have been better starting.
We've never really played well against them, even in the 70s at the baseball ground and we had the greatest team ever back then. Do you remember the frannie or fanny as I called him the diving twat and Norman Hunter row, great times.
The only other time I have seen Leeds play at Pride Park before today was back in the O'Leary days when we stuffed them 5-0!! Happy Days, except i was in the Derby end!!!!! We were 3-0 up at half time & naturally I celebrated each goal in a subdued, dignified manner. During half time a sheep shagging in-bred of a Derby steward whispered in my ear that if I 'caused any more bother I was out'. Some old boy next to me who was a Derby season ticket holder told him to feck off & he did. Needless to say all eyes were on me in the second half when goals 4 & 5 went in! I did manage to sit on my hands & just smile!!
Yeah thats the one, billy jumps over someone, Proper footie not this diving, whinging **** you see nowadays.
