Talking about today and last year and not about two years ago (where he was brilliant). 3 years ago he was again rubbish even in this league.
You're just going to have to get used to it man. People are finally starting to wake up to the fact that his tenure with us was largely based on hype and bullsh*t. And the more this fact becomes apparent, the more you'll see threads like this rubbishing him. And I, for one, welcome every single one of them.

I wasn't quite rubbishing Adel, just reflecting on the fact that the team has moved on without him. Neil Warnock got it absolutely spot on by building the team around him and it worked. When Adel performed - the team performed. Harry Redknapp soon enough realised that this wouldn't be feasible second time around. Credit to him for creating a solid team, and adding a touch of flare and panache in Nico Kranjcar.
a lot of people forget that Adel had some rubbish games for us in the championship in which he did nothing he even asked to be substituted in one of the games, probably because the bus was about to leave
I agree, he looked as if he lacked a little bit of match fitness, and was blowing after 10 minutes. That said, credit Barnsley who had obviously done their homework and watched the Middlesbrough DVD - they committed two men on him each time he had the ball in space. The touches were there though, just not in spadefuls so that we witnessed whilst 2-0 up against a one dimensional Middlesbrough.
