If Hughes came in it wouldn't have to be new formation, Cousins would take Gower's position and Hughes would move to the DM position. Just as they did Tuesday when Hughes came on for Gower. I saw Cousins in the Kent Senior Cup final. Thought the same, did well enough but I wasn't sure he had pushed on. Winning the penalty v Oxford and scoring v Barnsley showed he's more than just a tidy DM. Does show sometimes players just need a chance, playing with and against better players has got a lot more out of him.

Same team as Tuesday. Only. Change sees Pritchard replace Cook on the bench. Thought I was going today but not to be as domestics to attend to (in off to Portugal with my mates on Tuesday for a week to play golf so I can't complain. Currently just stopped painting the bathroom for a little rest. Apparently the trains and the A2 are both buggered so the crowd may be affected
My Player not working. No current matches offered. Annoying because I have just renewed for a year. Finally working after 30 minutes but only the Blackpool commentators.
0-0 half time. No idea how it's panning out as I lack the subtle knowlege only possessed by subscribers to Charlton Player!
After a bright start by the Addicks, Blackpool getting on top. Neither side with much goal threat. Blackpool commentators complaining that Fuller is spending half the game rolling on the floor and appealing. How unlike him! Would still prefer him in our side though, especially with Kermit out. Church, Sordell and Harriott collectively a bit lightweight and let down by final passes. Defending well but I fear the worst. Without Kermit we don't have anyone like Ince or Fuller to make something out of nothing.
30 minutes to go and Pritchard on for Gower. Millwall were leading Bournemouth 2-0 just before HT. Now losing 2-4 and down to 10 men.
15 minutes to go and Stewart on for Church. Hollands gives Gills the lead against MK Dons who are down to 10 men.
OMG - the BBC have finally taken the 's' off Harriotts! Unfortunately, that's one less in the squad...
5 minutes to go and Pigott on for Sordell. Fuller already off and applauded by both sets of fans. Wagstaff gives Bristol City a 1-0 lead away to Port Vale.
Useless stat of the day...: A former/current Charlton player has scored in 6 out of the 11 League One games this afternoon.
FT 0-0. Both sides seemed happy enough with a point right from the start. Poor stuff. Cousins' shot our only serious attempt on goal. CP seems happy to keep picking up points to (just) keep us out of the bottom three and hope to do better when Kermorgant, Solly and Jackson are fully fit. Lucky for us we have Yeovil and Barnsley in this division.
Text - "Poor game between two inept sides. Difficult to remember any excitement at all. Fuller rightly given a good reception."
N'Guessan, Clarke, Hollands, Wagstaff, MacDonald and Haynes. And that is without Mooney or Lisbie scoring their usual goals. Confirms Charlton's worldwide reputation for producing prolific goalscorers! Bent scored the winner for Fulham, too.
Posting on train back. No creativity or goal threat whatsoever. Both strikers non existent. Harriot poor. No service. Massive struggle this season without Yann.
My Dad makes a point of noting which of our ex-players have scored - when I ring him tonight, it'll be "wasn't he one of yours?" "Yes, Dad..."
Volly, you dare mock the hero of the Forest match. This is a typical type of player from the Curbs 2m school. ie we pay 2m pounds for him and he scores a goal.
