£55m seems to be the going rate for top strikers ATM would be disappointed with less! If real continue to do badly then it seems likely they will bid in Jan, but jan fee's are usually a bit higher as they are mid season, so I'd say we should except no less than £65m, or £55m in summer.
Suarez is waiting for his Real deal! Cavani claims Liverpool striker still wants to quit when Spanish giants return with bid http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...drid-claims-Edinson-Cavani.html#ixzz2gnDMHe6t
This is it. If you are doing well and well placed in January, your best player leaves for Real and your season is gone. Doesn't sound very promising does it?
Luis Suarez claims he has changed for the better following his 10-match ban for biting. Suarez cradled his new-born son Benjamin and took three-year-old daughter Delfina onto the pitch for the pre-match handshakes before the Reds' weekend win over Crystal Palace in tribute to their calming effect on him. Uruguayan striker Suarez said: "In England, it is not common and, at first, club people told me I was not going to go - but I told them my children were going to come with me, like it or not. "They understood in the end and it was a nice moment, a unique moment for me, because my my family are so important to me. "They make me think hard and calm me. Nowadays I think a lot of them when I'm on the field. "I am aware that, in recent matches that I played, I've been calmer. I am very self-critical. I realised playing well, with more tranquility, is helping me a lot. "I prefer to continue like that and not be the same as before. "The only thing I care about is playing football - and enjoying my family is what I love most." And the controversial Liverpool star also revealed club captain Steven Gerrard's role in persuading him to stay over the summer. Gerrard recently joked he woke every morning with a prayer the 26-year-old hadn't been sold, and Suarez said: "I do not know if he prayed, but what he said is what he felt because he was talking to me all the time. "For me, Gerrard is a legend in Liverpool, and I admire him for the great player he is worldwide. "For me, he will always be a benchmark and at club level he is the best player I have played with in my career, as a person and as a footballer. "He is such a great team-mate who helped me a lot. His attitude was an extra boost for me to take the decision to stay - both he and the fans influenced much for that." After a summer when he was widely condemned for his attitude is attempting to desert Liverpool despite their unwavering support, Suarez reckons he returned from his ban a better and wiser man. He explained, in an interview with Uruguayan media after returning home for international duty, that he is determined to change his ways after such a controversy-fuelled two years. So far, he has lived up to that promise and let his football do the talking with three goals in two Premier League games since his return from suspension. And he explained it is the influence of his family that has helped calm him. http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/liverpools-luis-suarez-family-calmed-2351265
We have become very corporate. A new deal. What does even mean? Raising of a potential selling fee? Apparently he's changed. In a month? That's good going. His real attitude came through when he said would take his child on the pitch no matter what they say. That says to me he is almost bitter and confrontational towards the club as they refused to let him go. I want him to stay as it benefits the team but would prefer it if we were not treated as idiots.
I reckon he'll calm down when he's dead. For the moment, it's a case of us getting the best we can out of him on the pitch and waiting to see what new piece of outrageous behaviour he can think up.
