But I logged on today to see post after post of lets find ways to kick the manager, chairman, club and lets see how big a drama queen we can be.

Oh the uproar about the potential sale of Henderson, sack them all.

20 mil for a player yet to prove himself.
A player you lot wanted dropping most of last season.
A player who we hear wants to go.
A player who will prosper by the move.

N’Gog to replace him or Bent, no N’Gog to be part of the team and ONE of the strikers a player many would be happy with if they took their lets kick Bruce glasses off. A step up IMO from Boothroyd. Oh and I read Bruce the clown values him at 7mil, OTT, probably but so is 20 mil for Hendo.

I will reserve judgment until the end of the window, look at the squad we have and because Bruce is our manager I will back him. Before I hear the rose tinted glasses, head in the sand, let them walk all over you crap, no. Its being realistic, being fair and accepting that this is how it is being a football fan,.

Please keep on debating and giving opinions, I’m just giving mine.

It's so like the Welbeck "debate", isn't it Syd?
The argument at the time was that Bruce ****ed up by kowtowing to SAF in giving valuable PL playing time to a ManU youngster when what we needed was a proven PL striker.
. I won't compare it to the Bramble uproar because at least that was just £1m and (from memory) he was Wigan's POTY shortly before he moved.

I have not read all of last night's threads because they mostly say the same thing - "we wuz robbed by the lousy bin dippers" or "Bruce has ****ed up once again". Or "we sold our best talent cheaply".

SAFC cannot pay £65k/wk to a 21-yr old. And the club has no right to deny him a shot at the Big Time and a good wedge.

I have read a thread or two on SMB this morning and there are oddballs on there who say that they have lost respect for Hendo because he should have sacrificed £2m a year in wages for the pleasure of playing for SAFC. - FFS -

SAFC have done well for a young lad who has not achieved much yet in the PL, other than valuable experience. a few on here would have sold him for £5m a few months ago until the magic figure of £20m was bandied about by the club.

The real issue is the valuation of N'gog. He does not come with an endorsement from SAF like Welbeck did, nor approval of the LFC fans like Bramble did. I hope he is not another David Healy.

Time will tell. But I will wait and see before opening my big, loud gob.

well at least I still have one, mate. Would I have prefered to keep Hendo, yes of course but like you say its right for him and IMHO right for the club at this time. Just seen the stats on N'zog on SSN, 9 goals in 23 starts.

All i want to say to say is "well done to the academy and staff that have turned out a young lad, that has come through the ranks, and will have a trophy laden career ahead of him. Keep up the good work and produce some more".

Gutted Henderson is leaving, but let's see what Bruce does with the money.

    God luck Jordan.

Syd. You can only say it as you see it.

I love the way people come on here as if they have all the facts ready to hand. When if reality they are so far in the dark they may as well stick their head up their own arse. We'd certainly get more sensible debate if they did.

Good luck Hendo and by the way 20M........Well done Brucey.

Not going to fall out Syd, but the tone of your article sounds very much like you aren't debating.
You are saying those of us who don't think Bruce is a very good manager are deluded drama queens.
That's not a debate that's you saying you're right and we are wrong!
As for the lets kick Bruce out glasses, if "The Special One" had been our manager and bought N'Dog I would still have been pissed off.

Its not what I mean MR, its the OTT reaction that annoyed me and the haste by some to jump in and kick Bruce. TBH I read a few comments then gave up. Also how we make the stats suit our case, I read 9 goals in 63 games but you could say 9 goals in 23 starts, makes it sound a lot better.

But I've been kicking Bruce for months!
After another atrocious end to the season.
And to me and many others his even considering N'Dog only hardens my belief that he isn't a Prem Manager.

Just as an aside if he was bringing Murphy back would you still be defending him?
My point being, 99.9% on here would think he was insane.
Murphy got 10 goals in the 06-07 season and missed the start of the season.

All opinions, only seen as OTT as you disagree with them.
    Sorry.

Morning Syd, just awoke to the news and I've been reading most of the comments that have been posted from about 11.30 pm last night. Looks like Poolie was fighting a bit of a lone battle!!!! Good luck to Jordan! I can understand the anger of those last night which seemed mainly about the valuation of Ngog although some were genuinely angry at Henderson leaving. To be honest though, we are nowhere near a top 6 club yet IMO and when those clubs come knocking for your brightest and best then it's a fact of life that some of them are going to want to leave and who can blame them. Where do we go from here I don't know but this is now turning into the single most important transfer window in recent years. Even more critical than when Keano got us promoted. Get it wrong and I think we will be in serious trouble (a lot of you will be of the opinion that is already gone tits up!) but there's plenty of time for the powers that be to get their fingers out and get some quality in. Dont piss about haggling about prices just get some players in and start beefing up our paper thin squad. KTF!

I have no problem with any fan who does not want Bruce and I'm not saying its you or indeed any particular poster. All I saw was post after post jumping on Bruces back.

I'm not defending Bruce I am saying that IMO some of the reactions on here are way OTT and look like lets kick Bruce whatever he does. Lets say we are paying 7 mil for Ngog, why blame Bruce, did he sort out the deal or was it Quinn and Walton?

Why do people feel the need to kick Bruce at all?

Performance can only be judged over a full season. No one ever wins the league in January do they?

Last three seasons. 16th...13th...10th. That's improvement or am I missing something?

Now in Liverpool they are saying 17.5 cash plus Ngog valued at 2.5mil

erm, 10th was a bit of a fluke based on last minute/last game events - we could have easily come 15th

    See Syd.

Like I said. They all think they know all the facts when in reality. They don't, far from it!

Nee offence mate but 10th this season was just pure luck and other results going our way.
Our false position early in the season helped, Chelsea apart we played **** most of this season.
That wasn't the way we were expecting this season to pan out, we all expected improvement and saw very little if any.

Aye and I "could" of won the lottery last week. But I didn't.
We should use hard facts on here whenever possible.
    We finished 10th. Not 9th. Not 12th. Not 20th.......

That's opinions for you - and there is no right answer.
Of course, one goal at Villa by LFC would have put us 9th
    10% converted of the 40 or so shots v Blackpool would have meant 8th . . .

The final day was just a bit of good fortune - a drop in the ocean compared with the bad luck since 31/12/2010
