Gallen eyes return to QPR in coaching role 03/10/2013 By David McIntyre Former QPR stalwart Kevin Gallen says he would be âabsolutely delightedâ to return to the club in a coaching role. Gallen, whose brother Steve has worked with Rangersâ youngsters for several years, had a spell coaching young players at the club which ended abruptly while Mark Hughes was manager. But current boss Harry Redknapp indicated at a fans forum on Thursday evening that he would like the ex-striker, 38, to return to the job. And Gallen, who made more than 400 appearances for Rangers, told West London Sport: âIâd be absolutely delighted to go back. I was very disappointed to leave and with the way it happened. âEveryone knows how I feel about the club and if Harry Redknappâs interested in having me on board Iâd be chuffed. âI enjoyed working there and obviously my brotherâs been involved for many years. Itâs our familyâs club and I was really sad to leave. Iâd love to go back.â
Harry loves getting in ex players. Look at Sherwood , Allen and Ferdinand at spurs. I must admit ive been a bit suprised ferdy and allen didnt come accross before. Maybe with Mclaren gone we might see Clive allen back !! possible!!
Great news I'd love to see Gallen back involved where he belongs. Makes perfect sense. Hope we get another experienced coach as well who carries on McLaren's great work
Would absolutely love to see Gallen back at LR. Pride, Passion & Goals all hallmark traits of the great man.
