We've got at least £30m in the bank if the deal goes through as expected.

Reinforcements? Starting to think both Crouch and N'Zog are likely to be looked at closely.

Sess and Colback were in great form towards the end of the season and could be very effective players next year.

Meyler is on his way back from injury.

    Big Chris has been banned.

We have very polite fans. I posted on the thriving Hartlepool board and not one would take a moment to reply.

Any more positives to look forward to lads?

I suggest ignore any wumming on here if it follows. Let's try to make the most of a precarious situation.

Crouch isnt coming. N'Zogbia wants European football or at least the prospect of it in 12 months (thats us out of the picture then)

N'Gog? Thats the height of our ****ing ambiton today.

This all just sounds worse and worse by the minute.

In an entertaining fashion no less! If anything we did the board a favour.

some people definately need to chill out on here

end of the day we are getting 13m and a half decent striker to add to our squad that contains 1 striker (well 1 for this season).

with 13m we could easily sign one of the players we have been linked with (Pav/Crouch/N'Zogbia) who are all better than Henderson IMO. YES the lad has potential but so did that lad for Man United who's career ended with a bad tackle in a reserve game a good few years back.

Remember last season and tight-arse shambles as we used to call him, he proved us all wrong.

Brucie is the gaffer and I back the bloke all the way, lets see who else he brings in before we start talking rubbish about we are goomed and going to be in a relagation battle

Half decent striker? Where have you read that? 63 games and 9 goals in 3 years? He's ****e. Simple.

We've been ****ed over in a deal that the scousers must be pissing themselves wet over.

We are rank amateurs trying to run a professional club and everyone has seen us coming now.

This is about as depressing a deal as I can remember in a generation. Selling one the hottest properties in NE football for a long, long time for a pittance of £13m and then taking a total waste of space for £7m? I mean what the **** is this all about. How many young players have we brought throught he ranks that potentially could become an England regular, only to then flog him at the first flashing of a wallet.

Its a ****ing travesty never mind a good deal FFS.

**** me is this deal really happening?
Surely Ellis short must see the folly in this the guys a world class business man. He'll know.the value of a commodity and how to get the right price. I hope.

Bruce isn't winning anyone but Scousers and Mags fans round with this kind of hapless deal.

I wanted to give him the benefit but I really think we should rid ourselves of this manager now, before he does permanent damage to the club.

I think he is a complete liability with this deal.

    Dead right, Poolie.

£12m for Hendo looked a decent price at the end of March. Two months does not add £8m. But £20 ****ing million it is. Well done Quinny/Walton. <ok>

Is N'Gog worth £7m? I don't know. None of us will know for sure until maybe Christmas.

I, for one, will never write off a young 22 yr old striker with international experience at U-21 and younger, CL goal scorer, Europa League scorer, whom I have only seen on TV once or twice. I trust Bruce/Black to see some talent that maybe some on here do not.

Benitez paid £1.5m for him as an unknown quantity age 19, and LFC sell him on 3 yrs later for £5.5m profit. Not exactly daylight robbery. Same difference as us valuing Hendo at £20m IMO.

    No complaints from me.

agreed pal, we should now wait and see what Brucie does

If he spends all the 13m on N'Zogbia I would be absoloutely buzzing with the deal basically Henderson for N'Zogbia and N'Gog. N'Zogbia is 10times better than Jordan and if we can pick him up I think Brucie will of worked abit of magic, just my opinion like.

Poolie most of the time when you suggest someone we should be going for, I've never heard of them and have to Google them.
With this pile of ****e from Liverpool I don't have that problem.
I get Liverpools footy channel free in my Virgin TV pack.
He plays ****e for the first team and ****e for the reserves.
As Cesc has so eloquently stated 9 thats ****ing NINE goals in 3 years tells its own story.
Bruce is proving daily he is just not a Premiership manager, my worry is he will take SAFC down to the lower levels where HE is more suited.

I thinks what more depressing is seeing someone say "pittance of £13m" the lad is just a fairly decent player with "potential" and there is every chance he won't fulfil that potential so you can't expect him to be sold for much more unless he had proved the 1st half of the season wasn't just a fluke.
