Do you remember this in 2012? Red Bull under investigation over engine maps 22 Jul 2012 Sebastian Vettel (GER) Red Bull Racing RB8. Formula One World Championship, Rd10, German Grand Prix, Qualifying, Hockenheim, Germany, Saturday, 21 July 2012 Mark Webber (AUS) Red Bull Racing RB8. Formula One World Championship, Rd10, German Grand Prix, Qualifying, Hockenheim, Germany, Saturday, 21 July 2012 Sebastian Vettel (GER) Red Bull Racing RB8. Formula One World Championship, Rd10, German Grand Prix, Qualifying, Hockenheim, Germany, Saturday, 21 July 2012 The Hockenheim stewards are investigating Red Bull after FIA technical delegate Jo Bauer reported that after examining the engine torque maps of the RB8s of Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber after qualifying, “it became apparent that the maximum torque output of both engines is significantly less in the mid rpm range than previously seen for these engines at other events. “In my opinion this is therefore in breach of Article 5.5.3 of the Technical regulations as the engines are able to deliver more torque at a given engine speed in the mid rpm range. Furthermore this new torque map will artificially alter the aerodynamic characteristics of both cars which is also in contravention of Technical Directive 036-11.” Article 5.5.3 says that “The maximum accelerator pedal travel position must correspond to an engine torque demand equal to or greater than the maximum engine torque at the measured engine speed. The minimum accelerator pedal travel position must correspond to an engine torque demand equal to or lower than 0Nm.” The FIA placed tighter restrictions on engine maps ahead of this season as part of a package of rule changes designed to eliminate the use of exhaust-blown diffusers. Bauer’s statement suggests the FIA may suspect Red Bull have found a way to circumvent the changes.
I don't think McLaren have the influence to get Magnussen the seat, even with the unpaid bills. Force India were initially going to run Magnussen at the YDT but at the last minute replaced him with Calado. If N.Todt has more influence than McLaren, we're more likely to see Massa or Bianchi at Force India. BlogF1.it think Magnussen is more likely to end up at Marussia.
Sorry but Mercedes hold the most influence at Force India, not Ferrari or McLaren. Sutil and Paul are giving FI a discount on Mercedes engines.
Does Sutil have any connection with Mercedes??? hes just a german guy driving a Mercedes powered car (before then Ferrari I might add). that is all
So does that mean because of where I come from I could offer an F1 team these: please log in to view this image please log in to view this image please log in to view this image I sense an F1 drive coming through the post shortly.....
Hulk too Fat for McLaren? http://www.inautonews.com/report-hulkenberg-too-heavy-for-2014-mclaren Also reading this says that Gillette could be McLarens next sponsor... Could Bruno Senna get the drive? Senna - McLaren - Honda FTW
All I can really offer is: please log in to view this image and a fine selections of LL's and wych's of course
More weight behind the confusing story, Sauber considering Rubens Barrichello for 2014 Formula 1 seat
Shame must mean Massa has got a seat midfield somewhere, hopefully Magnussen gets the seat beside him and I will watch Marussia with great interest!
Good for Marussia, not so sure if its good for Bianchi. They really need to build and develop a better car next year
I'd love this, very doubtful though to say the least http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/110287
