Morning Peeps, McCormacks wants to play in a more forward role. Speaking on the official website , McCormack said, "I`ve probably not played up front as a two since Simon Grayson left. "But I`ll maintain what I said that if I play up front I`ll score goals. "It keeps getting mentioned that we need a striker but I`m ready to step up and notch a few. "I can`t speak for the other players saying that they are going to do this or that. McDermott may give up in his hunt to bring Becchio back on loan, and is set to look elsewhere. He does not expect to add any new loan players to his squad ahead of Saturday's Championship game at Derby, despite his best efforts this week. With our forwards misfiring, does anyone think that we let go of Morrison too early?
Morning elland and all Ross will score goals upfront and is the only player in the squad I would back to get over 15 or even 20 goals in a season, he needs to play upfront for me but to do that we need creativity behind him. Regarding Morison I said at the time I was very surprised that McD let Morison go. Its not that I think Morison is an incredible player or anything but he just seems like a player that McD would've gotten the most out of. Personally I think it was for money reasons rather than he wouldn't have gotten into the team, McD probably thought he could use those wages in better areas which is true bearing in mind he is one of our highest earners. Still think we need wide men more than strikers at the moment anyway.
Morning all. Having watched smiley salads interview, I'm tempted to comment. I won't though as it's far too early to upset people. Next two seasons written off
Morning all. I'm with Josh on this one. Ross should be playing up front as part of a pair. As to whether we should have sent Morison out on loan, we'll never know for sure. The difference now is that we're playing more proper footy than the hoofball we were playing when Morison was with us. Whatever we may think of Morison, its almost a given that he would benefit from us playing proper footy. It'll be interesting to see what happens when his loan expires. Hunt isn't exactly tearing up trees, and Smith just gives us a different option. Are Hunt & Varney better than Morison? Varney maybe. Hunt? Not so sure. Having said all of that, our target has to be a winger. As such it will be interesting to see how Hall develops at the Blades. Could just be that we don't find a suitable target and that Hall returns to finall show us why he was bought in the first place.
Morning all, I think Morrison went so McD could get his mate Hunt in. Not looking the best decision at the moment. There is always some transfers that don't work out for whatever reason though. As for Hall McD says he sees him playing in the hole behind the strikers and not as a winger. Anyone know what position he is playing for the Blades?
Morning all Agree with the general opinion here that Ross needs to be upfront as part of a pair, and I think Varney is the likely partner. Poleon needs a bit more experience for me, but I don't think Brian will give him that experience through regular starts - more likely from the bench. I think Morison was loaned out to save on wages, if it was to get Hunt in then that is looking like a bad bit of business at the minute, but hindsight is a wonderful thing. Interesting to hear that McDermott has planned on using Hall behind the strikers though? I hadn't come across that one. I'd pretty much hoped if he proved himself on loan then he'd become one of the wide players we so badly need.
Morning all. Are we getting Hall back soon then and not letting Blunts extend the loan deal? I'm stupidly getting excited at the possibility of a new player, even if it is Hall! With all the members on here with the name "LeedsIn....". I might go for "LeedsInLeeds"? haha... have been thinking for a while that I need a reference to the club in my name though.. hmm...
It's sad that the excitement level has fallen to "he'll be like a new signing when he comes back" type comments about Hall. It's even sadder that I agree with you There are quite a few of us LeedsIn's, might be moving away soon so might have to start thinking of something new for myself...
Morning all I agree with the majority about mccormack but I think hunt will produce the goods given time. on a lighter note they could solve our goal scoring problem easily.we had 20 shots off target against Bournemouth Tues so if we move the goal a couple of yards hey presto!!! Ha mot
That'd be quality! Do some half time assessment of which side we're missing most and send the groundsmen on at half time to give it a cheeky nudge! You're making me think these things about Hall! Stop corrupting me!!!!!
Just for a split second, I thought you were talking about this legend: please log in to view this image

Good morning I thought you would like an update on my medical state went for my treatment yesterday re RFA got there early and the nurse came to get me ready ask the usual questions and when I said I was having my second course of RFA she said no we are just taking out 30 samples from your stomach. I thought this is wrong what a waste of money and said I wanted to speak to the surgeon. She put me back in the waiting room and 45 minutes later another nurse came and said we are sorry sir but we have made a mistake you are quite right you will have to come back in November .What date? She went away and 15 minutes latter she said it was too soon to tell . Fortunately I know the surgeon so I will be ringing him on Monday to get this matter cleared up The moral is be positive and if you think you are right politely stand your ground at least I got weighed and found I had lost 3 kilos!Must have benn all the fasting I had done!MIKE
