Look I couldn't give a rat's arse about trinkets adorning the stadium, like the big screen! If the club is spending money this summer it should be on players to get us out of this poxy league Rant over.
Quite happy about the big screen tbh, far better news than hearing how the Assistant Manager of CAFC's Female squad feels about their season, or what events are coming up this summer for 5 year olds or other such nonsense I keep opening.
Nice, well paced rant, AllHell - short and to the point. But just think of all those big FEEEEEEEEEESH!
looking forward to being able to read the big screen again at long last it's hard enough to read it from the North Upper on the smaller screen so i'm pleased for it to come back at least
remember when the jumbotron died. First it wouldn't update - "scoreboard whats the score, scoreboard scoreboard whats the score" then it died, the NU boo boys were in full verse. "we want our scoreboard back, we want our scoreboard back" even the West stand weren't best pleased, it must be said.
As soon as we got teh screen, we began to slide out of the premierleague. We still have it in the championship and we get relegated after 2 seasons and then face agonising exit in play-offs the next year with the screen still there. Take it away this year and we were 3rd-ish, before the Exeter game, when it reurned and we've won like 3 games since.
The most amusing must have been the game (can't remember who it was against) when the scoreboard showed one of their players as having had a yellow card, then that played got booked and the whole bench were telling the ref he'd already been booked, not to mention boo's echoing through the stadium, and a chorus of 'he's got two yellow cards! He's got two yellos cards' closely followed by 'we've got two Sodjes! He's got two yellow cards! We've got two Sodjes! He's got two yellow cards!' And of course 'Sacked in the morning! Your getting sacked in the morning!' Gosh how we rely on that scoreboard
Haha that was vs Bristol Rovers. Was very funny. I'd swap that moment for Youga having not got injured in that game though
But maybe we are spending money on both players and big screens etc? I'm all for making everything about the club correct again. Obviously the playing/management staff is the most important thing, but having away fans travel down to the Valley and seeing some broken two bob screen is embarrassing.
Yeah I thought it was Bristol Rovers but wasn't sure. My extreme anger at the incompetency of the ref soon turned to embarrassment when I found out it was an error with the scoreboard. Can't imagine how embarrassed the technical team were!
