yep - that'll be a tough test at the emirates but we deserved to do the double over them last year so again, you never know!

And if I recall correctly, under Lambert we were pretty unlucky to lose 3-1 at Stamford Bridge, with Ruddy being sent off quite softly and a very late goal making the scoreline look bad, so we've only been comprehensively beaten once by them. I seem to remember that there was a stat which said we were one of only three teams to have beaten Chelsea more times than they've beaten us in the Premier League (the others being Arsenal and Man U), but I imagine that's changed now.

That was my peace offering "banter", but it seems I really touched a nerve this time.

I'd probably even take a 4-4 from 4-1 up, to be honest, just because a draw is a good result against Chelsea, but yes it would be difficult

we were a bit unlucky, that's true. they were in their pomp last season when we played them at the bridge, and many pundits felt they were waltzing towards another title. then the wheels fell off!

your stat is probably accurate - lets face it, they've been a very strong competitor since the premier league started, even before abramovich propelled them to the very top, but we doubled them in 1992-93, beat them away and drew at home the following season and thumped them at home in 1994-95 although they did beat us at the bridge. in 2004-05 they doubled us on their way to their first title in 50 years but as i say, in the last two years the've beaten us three times and we've drawn the other. so since the premier league began our record reads:

    P10 W4 D2 L6

I sure hope so Fenland. No denying that last night felt like a kick in the guts but as I have been at pains to remind the guys on our board this time last year we were rock bottom! We currently sit in 10th and we have recently beaten a decent Brighton side comprehensively. We are a work very much in progress but it all looks very encouraging.

Only if we draw 4-4 from 4-1 up and then we'll get back in our box...

I reckon Sanders Coaches could provide a few for us.

Yes,I certainly meant it as a good natured bit of joshing.A 4-4 is an unusual enough result to be a bit memorable.Just more enjoyable if it's your team that does the comeback.
