Harry Redknapp says he has no intention of bringing Loic Remy or Adel Taarabt back to QPR.

The pair recently made season-long loan moves to Newcastle and Fulham respectively, with a view to their long-term futures being resolved next summer.

Taarabt made it clear he wanted to leave following Rangers’ relegation from the Premier League, while French striker Remy was signed from Marseille in January on the understanding that his stay at Loftus Road could well be a short one.

Their loan moves have led to speculation that they could play for QPR again if the Championship favourites return to the top flight.

But neither are in Redknapp’s future plans.

The Rangers manager said: “Remy wanted to go to Newcastle, so good luck to him. I hope he does well.

“He’s not in my thoughts. I only want people who are here and want to be here, that’s all I’m concerned with.

“Taarabt and all those who’ve gone on loan, good luck to them. I hope they do well, stay where they are and get a contract there.”

Seems to confirm the suspicion that all the loan players would have been sold if buyers could have been found for them. That era is over it's clear. If we do gain promotion we're going to have to recruit a shed load of new players.

Very interesting indeed ..................... Adel, I can understand because Harry has had issues with him but Remy obviously rubbed Harry the wrong way as well.
We all know Harry's not big on drama queens.
Well, good for Harry cause we really do only want those who have a real desire to be with us.

At least players know where they stand with him and what his expectations are ...................... which can only be a good thing.

Remy with Austin supplied by Taarabt would be great but if they have no motivation to play for us we are better off without them so we should cash in and get players who do want to play for us.

The one thing you can't accuse Harry of, is speaking in code! Puts the full stop on the QPR careers of these two. In a way, I'm sorry we won't see Remy again, but Harry obviously sees the "want aways" as disloyal. We move on...

Swansea, Norwich and now Southampton have proved they can go up and stay, so could we without major changes, lets get promotion first then a couple in to strengthen, a couple out that wont make the leap (ability / age) but keep the nucleus of what got us promotion in the first place

    Interesting comments from Redknapp

I completely agree with the ethos of players being here who want to be here

There's still plenty of time for this situation to change, I think if Newcastle continue to struggle then Remy will think twice about staying there permanently.

I think this is a bit of reverse psychology. He is putting the ball in their court and waiting for a return. Well played, I would say.

Cannot fault Harry's criteria of players he wants around him.

And his success speaks for itself.

    Mostly British, hungry and motivated.

Only problem, he has expensive tastes, so needs a decent budget.

I agree with that. Yeh, obviously we don't want players who don't want to be here, but everything may change by next season, both what these players want and who the Manager is, and who he wants. Just look at Barton's situation from a year ago to now.

Long way to go this year before we see the shape of next year's squad. But if Remy stays at liberty and scoring we'd be daft to reject a proven Prem goal machine if the opportunity is still there. But will more likely sell him to Newcastle if the deal is structured to allow that and Remy wants to stay, or sell him to the highest bidder he wants to play for - if we've gone to all this effort to even out the salary structure we won't want to bugger it up again (though Barton and SWP, along with Cesar, are still skewing this).

Poor old Adel, he desperately needs game time and good performances, otherwise no one will want him come next summer, and he'll end up bottom half of Ligue 1 on a cheap deal.

yep, adel still needs to prove his premiership credentials and not just do the 'nuts' everytime. Remy seems to be going in the other direction, another good season and he def won't be back. Sounds obvious but if we've been promoted we don't need them, the ones we have are good enough.

Not sure about this. I'd like to see them both back in the hoops if we go up. Jol and Pardew obviously think they are Premiership material. Taarabt can be a game changer on his day and Remy knows where the goal is. I think Harry should see how the rest of the season shapes up for them and us before he makes a decision.

Jol and Pardew aren't exactly ripping the premiership apart right now, so judgement reserved on their decision making !!

Having either of them return would be a step backward in my opinion. Even if we do reach the Prem Remy's wages would be too high. The return of Adel, considering his attitude, could easily rock the boat.

Let them move on. Let the Rs move on. Let us move on.

What would be really interesting is if we get promoted and both Newcastle and Fulham were relegated. I wonder then if Remy and Taarabt would then change their minds about wanting to play for QPR.

i think it just shows that loyalty has gone in the game for some players, when remy signed he must of known we were new to the premiership and it would be a struggle to stay in the division if you sign for a club and believe in the manager you would stay and do what your paid for.
when newcastle went down i dont remember seeing all there players leaving inc colocinni (not sure on that spelling) he is a international player, they stuck it out and came straight back up so its a shame for me with both players as they can be match winners which you always need in a team
