This is actually the most pro board, CI and Amber Nectar have barely a single dissenter left.

Why because the vast majority of people don't like the sound of Hull Tigers?

    Do you live in seclusion?

We're asking other clubs to help because we have too many people like you just being contrary for the sake of it. Says more about the quality of our teams support than anything else.

The only person I've seen admit they actually like and want the name change is Happy who I suspect is taking the piss. Some people aren't that bothered but most don't like it, even if only a handful can really be arsed to do anything about it. There's proof of that not only by various poll results but just by reading the posts on this very forum.

What? Keep the **** up, I'm on the fence now you twat.

Yes I do like the name, and no, I wouldn't be bothered if it changed, and no, I'm not taking the piss.

However, after Obis excellent recent post, I did say I can see the arguments against changing the name a lot better now, and whereas so far I've pretty much been pro name change (genuinely), I'm now happy to sit on the fence between pro and anti.

I will be eager to see what comes from the Dr A offer to meet hopefully Obi, and a couple of others from t'committee, and see what both sides have to say when face to face. Hopefully each side will make an excellent argument and we'll go one way or the other.

Sorry if you're disappointed that I'm capable of changing my mind, or of being persuaded one way or the other by reasoned argument and debate.

Does that mean John and Robo are now on their own?

No, I was on the fence originally, but now I would support the name change. Why? Because I think it will bring in some revenue we need, and because the people against have not produced any evidence, that I have seen, that it will do any harm.

There is evidence that these things bring no benefit, Cardiff Dragonbirds have the piss ripped out of them by fans of other clubs and in eighteen months have seen no increase in revenue from the Asian markets that the kit change was supposed to attract. It's a load of old tosh, even Assem doesn't believe this will increase revenue, he's doing it just because he can(unless we can convince him to stop).

If the name change happens, what do you realistically think it will achieve, Robo?

There are many examples that provide evidence that branding and name changes can be costly mistakes. The Post Office changed to Consigna and back at huge expense.

Football clubs as businesses need loyalty. This is demonstrated by the way clubs market themselves. It takes years to build that loyalty and minutes to destroy it. Chairmen make mistakes, Ratner was a classic.

Oh my goodness me you are really just winding people up or very thick. People on here have explained over and over very sensibly how it will not make any difference. Yes you can say how do we know for sure but equally how do you know for sure that changing the name is a good idea - Oh wait, Allam said so. Yeah right.

The main reason I read this forum is because fans here will stand up against bullshit like this name change instead of rolling over and let the owner do whatever he wants like some kind of dictator. You have to question the motives behind the owners actions on this one when he comes out with comments like calling the title 'City' common. Too many sheeple prepared to put up with anything these days.

I'm not too bothered about the name change, it doesn't make my blood boil like it does some people. I can however, totally understand why. AA should never have changed the name, maybe had a poll before hand, which would have come back as no anyway!
