They improved in second half. He got very little service. Imagine Remy on the end of Niko's flicks and through balls. I wonder if we can recall him in January!!
may also be thinking "If I can score regularly with that rabble at QPR last season, and keep it going with this pile of rubbish up North, somebody decent has to come in for me eventually. If I'm not doing porridge". As we all know, a seriously good player.
I believe Remy, Taarabt & Granero (now injured) were all on season long loans? He was sharp in the 2nd half with good shots and link up play plus a goal - almost tied the game in injury time too. As Michael Owen said, he has a great shot in both feet.
Maybe it has everything to do with having a sh_it attitude. He could of stayed with us and scored many a goal and had a really great year but his head / ego was too big for the Championship ..................in the end, he got what he deserved.
Not sure it was ENTIRELY his decision....He is on big big money, he could be locked up in ?November. One of the ones they needed of the payrole, (but remember he is still ours, what happens if, (big if) we go up and they go down....maybe good business. In this one I will say ....in Harry and TF we trust
Loic Remy scores goals It's as simple as that Despite poor service last night, he had one sniff of a chance and put it away I'd love to see him back playing for us, as he's most effective playing off a front man in the mould of Charlie Austin. They'd be a great partnership in the Prem.
Exactly. The decision to offload - even temporarily - was a financial decision. Same with Samba, Mbia, Boswanka, etc. There was not the same pressure to part with Adel, but he made it clear by his actions (or petulant inaction) that he wasn't going to play in the championship. We also don't know what was going on with Remy behind the scenes (apart from the obvious).
We had no choice, if we got to the end if this season and didn't get promoted we'd so far in the red, and fall foul if the FFP rules, which we may still be if things go wrong. The result of this would be instant 10 million fine and a transfer embargo. The fact we loaned these 3 out proves we want them back! Although you can't blame remy for not wanting to play in the championship as we set the 'do or die' deal up for him to come in and save us, if not his contract meant he was free to go.
Newcastle fans feel they have the option to buy him at season's end, so he may effectively have gone from us already.
He's not chattel, he has to decide to want to go there. I can think of lots of preferable options (excluding prison), including QPR in the prem. And in London. Newcastle are in for a tough season by the look of it.
I said 3 months ago he will end up top scorer in the premiership this season he just may have to do this before his court case
Just cant see him getting the goal scoring opportunities at Newcastle, to get top scorer, also the number of forwards they have any dip, and he would be replaced.
