    You're spot on.

If you look at the stats from the games he's played (especially Sunderland) he has done extremely well - it is his size and stature that makes him look clumsy, when in fact he is quite the opposite.

Here are his stats from the last game:

    Mamadou Sakho Stats Vs #SAFC
    47/49 96% passing
    100% ground duel win (2/2)
    80% aerial wins (4/5)
    100% clearance success (8/8)
    100% tackle win

They are more than impressive, yet people seem a little nervous when he's on the ball - he's an absolutely quality player imo

Djimi Traore always looked like Bambi on ice, and Momo Sissoko also looked ungainly. As for Peter Crouch, well... <laugh>

His stats in the others game were impressive as well.

I remember his debut against Swansea, he played the ball extremely well with a few back flicks here and there. Such a great confidence in his ability, on his debut and only joined up with the club for a week prior to the game. Says a lot about his mentality and confidence.

Yeah I agree. He has to be a starter for me, whether that means dropping Agger or not - Sakho is the man you need in central defence. He's young too so still developing his game, the lad will become a world class defender without question.

We really signed something special here, and his best years are ahead of him.

Like I've already said, currently If we play with 2 CB's it has to be Toure and Sakho - they just seem like a perfect fit together. **** playing against them two....sheeeeit.

Agree - definitely a player who can take us to the next level. Not only is he a 'top 4' signing but he's a 'title challenge' signing as well.

Need to add a couple of more of his quality in the midfield and we'll have a seriously strong team.

Yeah I agree again. The good thing is BR hasn't finished building his team yet, but what he has bought in (other than 2 or 3) have been exceptional buys, for the right price. No panic buying - just nice calculated transfer business.

Allen and Aspas can suck each off in the bootroom for all I care!!

Haha. In the coming transfer windows, I expect Rodgers to strengthen the central midfield. <ok>

My wish list would include a CM, if possible, I want the love child of Momo Sissoko (pre kick in the head/eye), Xabi Alonso and Masher, somebody get busy with a test-tube!

I'm hoping we get 2 midfielders:

    1 proper midfield destroyer
    1 classy playmaker

What we need is a neat and creative passer with good vision who likes to get stuck in in midfield and takes good corners. I know just the guy.

    Indeed

Definitely a player we could have done with

  20. For now its got to be Toure and Agger as they were solid at the start of the season but once settled, I think Toure and Sakho will be our best pairing.
