Yesterday afternoon went for a few beers and got talking about city and west ham to a couple of blokes at the bar. And it turned out they both watched the game in pub one on marina and the other one on prinny ave both pubs packed out . Had a dig about they could of been at the game instead of watching a big screen and they more or less said I was the mug for shelling out £30 notes for a ticket and £20 beer/food money when you can watch it in loads of pubs in hull. I remember last time in the prem city was shown in most locals as well as pubs in town but I thought they had clamped down on showing 3PM kick offs. Could this be a reason we are not selling out even tho we have 19k pass holders.
The one on Marina has access to French and middle-east channels which you can normally find any Prem game on. Last time we were in the Prem I watched quite a few of our away games in Staks, but it got in trouble off the cops in the end I think. It's not legal, I believe, so it's a bit hushed up. Sky Sports wouldn't like it.
Both my 'locals' show the games - Al Jazerra Sports and Canal + (Scandinavian version) being common sources.
