  1. That is easier said than done for an eighteen year old that earns £30k per week <yikes>

I really like the 3-5-2 system personally. It just needs the right players in the right positions and I reckon it'll flourish big time. Plus if our players get to grips with it 100% then in a game where we might be playing a 4-2-3-1 we can quickly switch and screw the oppositions heads up.

The positive thing is we have a squad now that can play so many different formations to a high standard - the versatility we have this season is far superior to the last few years.

No way, what's Ronaldo on these days £280,000 p/w or something? Sterling can barely afford to turn the lights on at his place.

  4. That is something BR spoke about very early in his reign. It is also something that has been mentioned many times on these boards; a BR type signing is a player that is versatile. I agree that the flexibility is a very good positive to have <ok>

  6. Maybe that's why he has so many kids, he can't find the rubbers <ok>

Can't believe no Sunderland player appealed for the handball on Sturridge's goal which surprised me.

Just seen Mignolet try and catch one from a corner and then drops it <oh>

Maybe that's why he prefers to punch

My theory is that our disallowed goal was marginal so the official though **** it we'll let 'em have this one. Good old Howard Webb too.

Great save from Mig at the end of the first half.
Shame couldn't hold onto the first shot for their goal but what's also worrying is the player that scored ran past 3 players to react to the lose ball before any of our defenders.

  12. Yeah, I was expecting someone to mention that when we were discussing him <laugh>

He was partly to blame for their goal too but I think he recovered well

He did catch the corner which led to the counter for the 3rd though...

Caught it, looked up and distributed well. For all those saying his distribution is poor, he can claim an assist with that one <ok>

He is a breath of fresh air - to still have so much passion to win is a real credit. Especially as he's pretty much won everything going already. He's turned out to be an absolute excellent transfer, not just what he offers on the pitch but just his presence around Melwood and in the dressing room etc..

A true professional, a true leader, and a true winner <ok>

Mr and Mrs Toure must be some proud parents!!

Absolutely crazy ****ers...Also Chelsea letting Sturridge go <doh>

Both cost us a total of 12mil + wages (which we got back from dead wood we sold)

    They got mugged off <laugh>

Sturridge is probably worth over 35mil now!

I have been so impressed with Mr Toure, his play, his commitment and his willingness are just outstanding. He came to us as cover but he's making himself almost indispensable.
