That was a sensational result The best of the season so far, As Stoke don´t give free drinks away Especially at the Britannia Bar We pressed them high right from the start And picked up all sorts of loose ends, With high pace and tackling on song It really did pay dividends With speed both of thought and in feet We ran them ragged and deserved, A goal, which came courtesy Hows´ And we fortunately then weren´t unnerved And went on to take a 1 nil The very best scoreline of all, So well done CH and the lads Good to see them ´On The Ball´. Well, longer than before. Seriously, he has nothing to lose over the next two games and I think we have Cardiff after that. If we can put up any kind of resistance against Chelski and Arse and then beat Cardiff, I think he's in the clear for the moment.
He's bought himself at least another 3 months today Homes games are where we need to win more often than not, and losing at home to Villa was a blow for most (myself included) but should we have been that surprised? PL always gets something from us at CR. Hopefully the Cardiff game will steady the boat a little and CR will be a happy place once again.
As long as we pick up points against the teams around us and get as many home wins then im happy. Many need to lay off and just hope we can pick up a point in the next couple of games... Cardiff is when it matters more! I will be happy with 4 points from the next 4 league games. We would have played 10 games and would have had Man C, Spurs, Arsenal, Chelsea too. We needed the win today, and we got it. I'm prepared to see how he gets on now till start of December
The title was entirely tongue in cheek by the way, for as far as I´m concerned I hope he´s allowed to see out his current contract and then with luck, be offered a new one. As Longsight says, it´s ´Work in progress´.
We were good first half but as expected Stoke came out the second half better. All in all I thought it was an entertaining/good game.
It was entertaining until we scored, after that there was very little of the interplay in opposing area, poor, stoke being dreadful. The game overall lacked quality.
Hughton was urging the team forward, not much more he could have done. Stoke just got themselves together and some of our passing went away. I still enjoyed the game though. But a win is a win, not much to complain about
a great result, apart from 10 mins after the second half kick off,we bossed the game. brilliant to see us play that way away from home. we CAN do it! the only negative for me was rvw. poor again. i realy hope he improves soon. i am sure he has the ability, but seems unprepared for the physical side
I think it's harder for him to find his feet, for Hooper it wont be as tough, SPL to EPL not such a hard transition. I think eventually he will get there though, we saw little moments of what he is capable of on Sunday. That run at the goalie for instance.
