oh sorry,I thought you had wrote the whole damn thing. it's ROBO that needs to go back to school then haha
Ps I was pleased we got shut of NB as well I said it was a master stroke that would lead us to promotion
For me, it's a question of where you draw the line? There's no doubt that the Allam's have been great for us, we owe them a lot, but when do you decide that it's a step too far? When we change our name, when we change our badge, when we change our kit, when we move out of Hull? I think everyone has a line they won't cross, it's just a question of where that line is drawn.
Nick took a job he didn't want, he was pushed into it, then having taken it, he was screwed over. I wish he'd never taken it, he wishes he'd never taken it, but that's life.
More Allam **** ? You ****ing pleb. Not only did Dr Allam save our club from extinction,he also funded a return to where we are now. He's made a big mistake,in trying to re-name us,but we haven't forgotten what he has done for us.
que sera sera, I think we can all agree that AA has been our best owner. Until we have an alternative - I think it will be more prudent to do what the old man wants - the last thing I want to see is him taking his ball home, cos until we can afford to run the club without him, we cant afford to lose him. Ive just had a thought (rare I know)... IF buying KC would cost us 50m, how much would it cost to build a new stadium in melton?
I don't like anti Allam posts. They've done a great job and deserve our respect and thanks. The name change thing is a mistake and should be fought all the way, but that takes nothing away from what they've done. I have no issue with the interest they're charging the club, no issue with the way they are running the club, I only have an issue with a pointless name change.
The cost of building the KC and associated development is pretty much meaningless when trying to put a value on the stadium. What's the market like for football stadiums these days? As it stands, the stadium probably reduces the value of the land as it limits what can be developed. If that then had no football Club there, it's be worth less than nothing and be a burden on the rate payers.
And what would we give up to get it? A couple of decent players we don't buy? I feel we are at a crossroads. Assem Allam has said he has no more money to give Hull City, which is his reason for the name change. I don't think it will bring us the millions we need to stay in the premier league for any length of time. Look at what's happening to Sunderland, Stoke and Fulham this season. All of whom have spent millions to try and stay up over the years. Rather then concentrating on pushing the club forward, increasing the sales from Tiger Leisure and sorting out a long term arrangement with the Council sections of our support are campaigning to keep our name. Really you couldn't make it up. Only in Hull. Thanks for letting me know my grammar was ok, appreciated.
Why would Allam leave if (hyperthetically) the fans did get some sort of consultation, or even a vote on the matter, and turned it down in favour sticking with tradition? It's a poor argument. That would be seen as ridiculously pathetic on his behalf. And would show his heart wasn't really in it.
I agree! "it's OUR club!" oh really? and how much did you buy your shares for? it's HIS club and we as fans can do **** all about it! it made me laugh the way people only protested BEFORE the match, the only way to hurt a business man, is in the pocket - AND DON'T ****ING ATTEND. DON'T hand over your hard earned money to him.. he will soon sit up and take notice when he has to start paying wages out of his own pocket cos the gates are down. UNTIL you are prepared to stop adding to his bottom line. SHUT THE **** UP BITCHING! HYPOCRITES!
You love lambrettas That makes you well cool in my world. Though of course Vespas are better We have different opinions on stuff It doesn't matter though. Maybe the name change is wrong. Maybe my opinion is void as I have to much else going on to Worry or mind about a name change. So I promise NOT to mention it again Your all ok on here to be honest and soft as it seems you've all been a help Since I joined this site without knowing it Il STFU NOW
Filey, I respect you for your views, at least you have informed opinion. For me yesterday was all about information and awareness. I know, and it was confirmed yesterday, that long serving fans dont even have the full facts, dont care either way and are apathetic. True informed opinion is the initial step. Most City fans sadly still are not informed enough to form an opinion judging by those I spoke to, mates included, yesterday when I was giving flyers & badges out.
IN TRUTH..you all are glory hunters. or you'd **** off this mad old man and go support north ferriby.
