i've never seen anything like it before, fans booing at Moyes which is absolutely disgusting, wanting him sacked, yeah as if Fergie and the board will do that, its typical modern day football fans wanting the managers to sack or resign, they don't give time to them anymore like they use to, i'll admit, i didn't want Moyes as our manager but he's here now and he's got my support.
It's a game of fine margins & the difference between the United under Ferguson & the United under Moyes is merely the extra few % that Fergie got out of them, because of who he was. Moyes was always going to struggle to replicate what Ferguson did, which is why I expected United to spend big in the summer & try & make up for the obvious shortfall by improving the squad quality. They didn't & this is the result.
Exactly. DM still has the opportunity to do that in Jan. So its wait and watch in what direction he takes the team.
Agree with Carrick 16. No shame in him needing time to learn what his best team is. Some performances have been pretty dire and I'm sure it won't have gone unnoticed. He needs at least a season to see who he thinks is up to standard before he makes changes and brings in new players. The one thing Fergie asked from the fans was faith and patience. People who boo at this stage cannot call themselves Man United supporters. Knee jerk reactionaries, making instant judgements, fueled by the media.
You mean like losing 3-2 at home to bottom club Blackburn Rovers on new years day? That type of horrendous? Oh yeah, a certain Mr Ferguson was manager that day, I don't recall many calls for his resignation if memory serves me right, even if that defeat did ultimately cost us the league title that season. Anyone assuming that Moyes would just walk into the club and carry on as was before is completely underestimating how good Fergie was. And it took him a good five years to truly get a foothold into the job. I doubt Moyes has that long on his side but for ****'s sake, at least give the bloke a season. He's not even ten games in.
You support the most successful club in the country despite not being from the area, don't go to games and throw your toys out the pram when someone dare laugh at your team's loss despite far worse gloating when rival teams lose. That's the modern day fan.
I don't intend to sound critical or condescending, though probably will. How is someone from Wales who supports Manchester United and was born (at a guess) around 1994 not a gloryhunter?
12TH.....ouch! Moyes is the right man for the job and he will turn it around before his contract runs out I'm sure.
The fans are all delighted with the choice of Moyes as the new manager and are prepared to give him as long as it takes. Trouble is they're all fans from the other 19 PL teams.
