In response to my last post ........ SOUTHAMPTON, HULL, CARDIFF etc .... Who would have believed in the last 10 years that there would be a time when Southampton, Hull, Cardiff and 8 ( yes, eight!) more teams would be leading Untd in the Premiership?? Losing now to West Brom - is there to be no end to the ignominy? Swarbs responded.........Oh good, more schadenfreude... -and closed the thread !!! Too near a nerve? Nein, nur die Wahrheit
thanks for the support. I've been a Untd supporter for more than 50 years, so believe that I'm entitled to my opinion - despite upstarts such as Swarbs and those who resort to foul language such as Carrick_16.
Fair points we suck ass. Looks like we might be going back to the eighties, had to happen some time I suppose.
With basically the same squad as last season(plus Fellaini)do you think the players chosen to play are showing the same commitment as they did under Fergie? They clearly aren't Diego, whether thats down to motivation, tactics or personalities who knows, bottom line Moyes is struggling with his strongest starting 11 and his tactics imo and that will cost Utd in the league and Europe bigtime this season.
Not sure about commitment but certainly not the same level of concentration. Looking at todays selection i would say Moyes is more concerned with getting through the group stage of the Champions League as he doesn`t expect to win the premiership at the first attempt. He left out Raphael and Vidic from the squad and put Evra and RVP on the bench, he played Ferdinand who clearly needs a rest, Valencia, Cleverly and Welbeck didn`t feature (not sure if Welbeck is injured) so he is either just testing all his squad or is saving some for supposed bigger games.
Hull are level on points with City with Southampton infront of them... Why is it only a crisis when it Man United???
Similar I have watched United play a few games this season. I also watched them play a lot of games in the eighties under Atkinson, there have been some similarities.
think during alex term you drew with RDM's baggies at OT, that day your blushes were saved only by some incompetent ref.. yes there was a EDwin howler too.. alex at OT pulled all those miracles thru the refs so many times! u still have hope if alex steps in directly or indirectly, which is highly likely! it is going to be very difficult for Moyes, least u should do is back him. after all your club epitomizes stability u know!
