I wouldn't choose to resign any of them. If I didn't have a choice & it was forced upon me I'd pick Garcia.
Not sure why we're talking about 3 very average players, but ***an tried the most, problem was he very rarely succeeded.
one of my friends who is a City supporter apparently believes that Folan is miles better than Garcia, I maintain that both were awful, but Garcia was a little less awful than Folan... And ***an well he was a trier and we all love a trier
Wasn't much between any of them in terms of quality, to be honest. Garcia had a little more skill and control than the others, ***an had some pace and a doggy attitude that annoyed defenders, and Folan had height and his Bambi legs. For all ***an's faults, he did put in some very good shifts on his own up front. Elland Road and Stamford Bridge stand out in my mind.
Yeh, thought he did quite well at times. Admittedly would be non-plussed at resigning him now, but did well for the team. He was another player some of our fans (****s) decided to deride rather than support
Folan on paper was the best player but he never fulfilled his potential and for a big fella was piss-poor as a centre-forward. He did get us vital goals at times like the West Brom away one. Garcia was the best pro but Championship at best. ***an was getting there when Guthrie crippled him then that was it for the lad.
Obviously Garcia. Miles better than both of them. Did ***an ever have a shot that didn't bounce 3 times before going wide/rolling to the keeper?
Can I expand the thread by asking a more interesting question? Taking the 2008 - 09 squad and the current one which players would make up your 25 man squad?
No, just chip in with whoever you think should be in it. edit; Ok to make it easier which players from 2008 - 09 would you prefer to the current ones?
