Give Bally the job,as he is a passionate Sunderland man who will get the lads motivated to get the results we need.He will do a great job as he loves our club, and wouldn't be coming here for the money!!

purely on his league record i'd pick mclaren he did a very good job at boro. alot better record than the other candidates except maybe di matteo but matteo had a better team to do it with anyway its all academic cos we dont make the choise. its up to ellis and the brains trust.

tbh wouldn't mind giving carl robinson a go. mk dons played us off the park and every interview I've heard from him seems like he knows what he's talking about. other than that, who was that german manager who almost got the everton job. would rather look at some of the managers from Germany than what's been touted about at the moment

Martin Jol is trying to lure former Manchester United coach Rene Meulensteen to Craven Cottage in a bid to kick-start Fulham's season.

Jol is already coming under pressure after seeing his side take just four points from their opening five games - leaving them in the Barclays Premier League relegation zone - and the next month is considered crucial.

If Fulham do not have more success in their encounters with Cardiff, Stoke, Crystal Palace and Southampton, the former Tottenham manager could be in serious trouble.

But efforts are being made to avoid such a scenario by recruiting the man who stood alongside Sir Alex Ferguson as his deputy in his final years in charge at Old Trafford. Only recently Robin van Persie described the 49-year-old as 'one of the best in the world'.

Fulham's only concern will be that Meulensteen is much sought-after since a brief and difficult spell at big-spending Russian club Anzhi Makhachkala.
Recently his agent Fons van den Brande said there was interest from the Middle East and Germany as well as a club in London.

Don't know how far they are spreading the net but there is young manager at Bor. Monchenblach who saved them in similar circumstances two seasons ago. They just failed to qualify for the ECL last season - with the same bunch of players.

Previously he was manager of Switzerland and tok them to 2010 WC, the only team to Beat Spain in that tournament.

Like everybody else I really have no idea - I have gone with Poyet on the strength of what he did at Brighton but also for his time at Leeds where he was the coach - they were flying along until he left and then slumped really badly so I think that he must have a really positive influence on the players.

Too early for Bally imo but bringing him in to the first team set up can only be beneficial.

I can see this happening with Bally as his no2. If Short has been asking the players then I can see O'Shea singing his praises and maybe even Wes Brown as well as I'm sure he worked with them at Man U..

He will always be that mate <ok>.. Still think he has one good managerial job in him though, whether that's with us fcuk knows. Saggy has him as 1st team coach at QPR atm and he's steadied the ship there well like..

I don't think that Short will go for either McClaren or Pullis, simply because I believe he takes supporters into consideration.
