Nice bumper this one (as is the one at Worcester tomorrow) with 4 previous winners. It takes a good 'un to defy a bumper penalty though so I'm on the Twister's horse Muckle Roe who is a half brother to Crescent Island (rated in the 140s)
Cheers bud, drifted 9/2. I do think yours will win next time out but I generally go form over potential every time. 1 more for me today, Flicksta 8/1 ew in the 6.45. The fav is odds on and I think this one will push it very close, when the 2nd fav is 8/1 you have to back it ew.
Found a nice video - 10 Messi hat-tricks http://www.sportinglife.com/football/news/article/165/8943138/video-lionel-messi-hat-tricks
Lads, can anyone explain the stewards process to me? Yes, I backed the fav at Wolves in 545 and can't understand that if that isnt an amended result, then what is? I'm not saying i'm right or wrong and am probably more inquisitive as i backed the 2nd horse, but the winner clearly hampered the fav and the fav was gaining again. Its more the rules im trying to understand rather than moaning about the result
They usually only amend a result if the winning distance was less than about half a length. In this case Kiss From A Rose won 2 1/2 lengths so the decision would be that, even though interference occured, it wasn't enough to alter the outcome of the race. I haven't seen the race so can't comment beyond that, but they usually only amend the result if it is blatant interference and the winning margin was only a short head or so.
I saw the race and definitely think the fav would have won without the interference. Had to be snapped up and lost all momentum
Thanks Oddy and SMP that was my opinion and it shouldnt matter the winning distance I think it should be a clear "would the 2nd horse have won had the winner not interfered"...ah well, thanks for the insight
I remember a feature on this matter on C4 a month ago after the sky lantern race. Apparently in france if they think it would have run they reverse it but here it has to be closer and beyond doubt it would have definitely won. I think it fell into this category, it would have won but obviously they dont think that.
