Its simple for me... Stick Ross upfront with Dom Poleon then put Diouf behind them! In that 3 we have Pace, Power and Guile...
Good afternoon clique, we DID lose to a PL team, but we should have showed better against a very average Toon reserve team. I still believe McDermott is our best recent manager and that he knows he is far from a complete squad. We are just losing by the odd goal, but having been at the Brighton game and seen how lucky we were, not only to win but not to have been soundly beaten(it could have been 3 or 4-1), I fear a team like Watford could blatter us heavily. It's nice to get back on line, My home pc died of old age and I inherited this laptop off the daughter, so I should be on a bit more often now. Flippin' work outlawed all social sites. Glad to see some of you old todgers are still around
We had a winger who wanted to come to the club who wanted to work for the cause and we turned him down for 500k Rowe is a great little player and I agree should have signed him and burke rather than Murphy.
Has BMD tried McCormack and Smith together yet up front? play Diouf behind them so he can create chances for them? Mowatt seems good on the ball and his passing is positive, rarely gives a bad ball, maybe time he was given a start, and give the lad Murphy a reminder, just different permatations and suggestions thats all!!!
How do you know he'll be a class act? you can't predict that Boggers, but I can tell you that having those two players that I mentioned would have made a difference.
This is one manager I'm trying not to have a go at as I think he's a breath of fresh air. But he's said and done a couple of strange ones for me. Including his statements about Murphy and Smith. Murphy is dropping off, but that could be because he's tired and needs a break. Smith however "Is great on the deck, with 2 good feet and plenty of skill for a big lad and obviously power in the air ...." yes he's scored a couple but he's missed a sackfull and looks like he has 2 left feet. Yes he may have potential but we need more right now up front. Poleon is a kid and we can't use him all the time, but Brian's brought in Smith and Hunt as strikers, Smith already spoken about and Hunt is a great rhyming name and thats all he's got .... so far. So Brian's choice of strikers is poor and maybe he'd be admitting he was wrong if he brought in another. get us a winger please and tell GFH to spend some cash. When talking about bentley he said he had players like EHD and Ross who were exactly like Bentley?????
how do you know that they would have made a difference shako ? you can't predict that shako, but I can tell you the hard working Irish player that we were told would make a difference didn't.
...can't blame me on every bad Irish player, just because we spoilt you with Giles.. Rowe and Burke are putting in good performances at their clubs and yes you're right maybe I can't predict they'd make any difference, but I bet the odds on them making a difference would be a lot lower than predicting Murphy is going to be outstanding in a years time....
Shakok: I still think we have gone backwards, we need a midfield maestro. Has anyone seen enough of Poleon to think if he took his time on the ball he could maybe play that roll
Beckford McCormack Gradel Howson Austin Snodgrass Warnock Pearce Wootton Byram McCarthy Made myself a bit sad seeing what we could have
Agree about the creative midfielder Carrick, but we need wingers to IMO. Regarding Poleon, the jury's out on him, he doesn't seem to be able to control the ball.
