    ....a very good footballer.

Having witnessed this shower of **** make his move to Chelsea, and the way he has performed thus far. I can say I'm glad we did not throw 30 mill away thanks to his greed getting in the way.

I doubt he would even start for us and the money was better spent on Lamela.

I for one will keep an eye on the ****test Brazilian footballer in the PL just so that I can say thank The Lord he was foolish enough to see us as just a second option.

Here starts my Will I am a **** footballer watch..<ok>

  3. I'm not sure how I feel about Willian.

However, I do know that the way Mourhino laughed at us at that press conference of his was completely disrespectful and classless, and for that - if there is any poetic justice in the world - Chavs deserve to do badly this season.

The Smug One seems to be doing his best to screw things up by side-lining two of CFC's best players. I cannot imagine that the Chelsea dressing-room is the joyful place to be that players were expecting it would be.

We all laughed at him several times last night. Swindon's right back had no problem taking the ball off him.

Every time I've seen him I've laughed at him and that's without a ball being kicked...breathed a sigh of relief when he decided not to join.

I rather get the feeling that some of the Chelsea boys may just have done that.

I thought the same as I was typing but thought no...I shall say what I think and Saturday will not change that... We don't get caned....The only player capable of that is Mata and Gobshaite doesn't rate him. A man driven by money can never have true desire so no blinders from Willicant on Saturday.

Sandro and Paulinho line up, take one look at Willian, then ask each other one question: "Who the hell is he?"

On the other hand, both Mourinho and AVB rate him (I assume it was AVB on our side). Got to believe there is something there? Lamela isn't exactly pulling up trees yet, but I think most of us are happy to give him the benefit of the doubt while he acclimatises?

He must be a decent player to have the sort of money spent on him and the types of teams interested in him. On the other hand Lamela's debut (was it Willie's debut?) didn't contain:
    * Blazing high and wide at what was basically an open goal
    * Hitting a defender on the line on what was basically an open goal
    * Running around like a fuzzy headless chicken not really looking like he had a position or purpose
    * Nearly putting Swindon in with a 30yd backpass played from the wing without even looking

And i only watched the game on and off

I seriously think Chelsea wanted one over on us due to our transfer dealings with them of late or comments such as those made by Gobshaite would not have transpired. As for AVB rating him...maybe ever so slightly as we didn't waste no time getting Lamela in.

Personalities go a long way with me and I would rather have a little less success rather than have an arsehole like Willicant on board.

I'm sure that the majority of Spurs fans were highly disappointed at losing Willian to Chelsea given the circumstances!

However, whilst I was quite disappointed, I knew it was a good thing because of Willian's transfer history.

To put it simply, I will always be wary of any footballer, especially if they are black, who moves to Russia. The reason for this is twofold

    1) The Russian league is cr*p and these players generally offer a quality significantly superior to Russian footballing standards
    2) Russian fans are incredibly racist towards black people and make no qualms about showing it

Even if Willian came to Spurs and played brilliantly, it wouldn't take more than 2 seasons for him to demand a move to a bigger club or demand a bigger contract.

Willian, as with Hulk, Samba, Eto'o and Witsel, move to Russian clubs for one reason and one reason only - money. Even if it is at the expense of their safety, quality of football, mental strength and how they enjoy their football. No Spurs team should ever include a quality footballer who has moved from a good side to Russia.

TBF I think most people on here were a mixture of:

    1) Hesitant over the fee
    2) Excited due to his Youtube vids
    3) Excited we were signing someone who looked like an ideal Bale replacement
    4) Happy we were singing the kind of players we needed after missing out for many many years on NEW STRIKER/NEW WINGER etc.
    5) Please to see AVB being allowed to sign someone he wanted

I don't recall many people fervently saying Willian was amazing after actually watching him week in, week out - and I think most of the disapointment was from the way in which we lost him, the fact we were shown to be second rate to Chelsea so publicly, and Jose's smug face loving every minute of it (especially as it was and still is asumed he will get them winning soon).

It's clear now that the players we have are forming a nice group, and most seem to be fairly down to earth people so it's easy for people to be happy with the outcome - even if it does look convenient.
