I really can't believe anyone would seriously consider Kevin Ball, it's ludicrous.

I love the bloke, and hope he's at Sunderland for life, but managing a Premier League club?

Does anyone really believe that 'Kevin never won owt/never won a cap/never managed Ball' is the kind of manager who'll attract the kind of players we need to get the club into the top half of the table? Sorry lads but this 'run through a brick wall' stuff is ridiculous.

It depends on the manipuation of sub-atomic structures at the particle level of atoms/molecules. Most of an atom consists of 'space' and what we may consider as the equivalent of 'solid' is only 4% of the volume and of that 4% most of it is also empty space.

Surely this means it ought to be feasible to run through a wall.

Even if Bally won the next 2 games, I would still prefer an experienced manager to take over..but it would be perfect if Bally could be involved in 1st team matter from now on.

This! I would love him to be our new managers no 2 though! I can imagine him being like the teacher at school who was very approachable and could have a laugh with but when you crossed the line he would bollock you with a threat of violence thrown in!

wtf have Poyet and Zola won (manager level) that would attract top level players?

Its De fanti whose job it is to attract the players now, not the "head coach"

Not saying Ball would be a good choice, but him not having won anything is not a good reason for him not to be picked.

We've had Steve Bruce and Martin o Neill and they have more experience than the previous 6 managers put together but they ****ed it up.

I'm not saying he (Bally) should get the job but if it's a choice between Ince, Pulis, McCleish or McLaren (Christ even Sven has bend touted) I'd plum for Bally. Why not?

If it's Poyet he has no premiership experience either. RDM seems to be cold on us and the list is beginning to look a little sparse.

I love Bally, definitely one of my all time favourite players.

Whether this is the time for him, Im still very unsure. I would hate for him to fail and lose some of the legend status he holds. If we were ever relegated I would give him the job at that point, where he can work his way up off his own back.

However, I would certainly give it to him in front of the likes of McClaren, McLeish, Pulis or Curbishly. As a club, we should be showing so much more ambition than being linked with those types of managers.

I really hope Bally gets his chance, just not yet.
Seems like Poyet is nailed on for the job which will hopefully be a good choice, although I have heard he can be arrogant Sod when he wants to be.

Haven't voted yet because I can't see Bally being capable enough yet, it's fair enough pitting your wits against other reserve team coaches but, against PL managers/coaches he will struggle. Top bloke who needs a spell as a manager at another club before we consider him. Also how is the bloke going to feel when he gets the sack because I don't think he'd be allowed to go back to the reserves.

I'm surprised he hasn't tried to cut his teeth by managing at a lower level already to be honest! He must like it up here!

I think Bally has bided his time here well. He has learned his trade and been close to 4 managers that he will not have failed to observe and learn from.

He is a mature, clever lad and I think a dressing room general. He is hands on and totally committed to SAFC. Who is to say he couldn't turn us round? It's not like he is inheriting 30 years of unbridled success is it? I think players would respect him and follow him and he is a born leader.

He is a hugely competitive bloke but is incredibly approachable and would fit the track suit management and hands on style the club say they want. As for what type of player he could attract, tbh we are about as attractive as dog ****e now to these 'better' players so what is there to worry us.

We have a scouting and recruitment framework established now so all the coach/ manager needs is to organize and manage the team which is Ballys strengths anyway. He is a people person and would talk to men like men but with a quite a bit of steel behind it.

Just not excited by some of the alternatives that's all and we are in a bit of a pan ****e tbh.
