Agreed I love watching him. He's the complete midfielder really; he can chase and harry when off the ball, his dribbling is excellent and he can pick a pass too. His 50-yard ball today for Proschwitz I think it was was brilliant.

Faye - total composure except 1 error in 2nd half
Bruce - Got some good tackles in
Sagbo - Showed some great control + I would have liked to see him down the middle

Technically he was free when we joined us, and we pay Sheff Utd £2000 every game for his first 50 games for us.

I think he has played 50 games for us, so we've now paid it all.

    Faye-solid as a rock
Quinn-all the play was through him
Sagbo-did the little things well. Touch and control was quality and worked hard. Just wasted on the left. There is hope he could do a job for us.

Quinn - controlled everything from the middle and liked his link up play with Sagbo

Harper - solid as you like although admittedly not really tested

Sagbo - some excellent touches but should have done better with a couple of chances he got

Honourable mentions for Faye who was a rock on the whole and Rosenoir who played well too.

Thought the new guy struggled but think that it was down to nerves and him trying to force things a bit too much.

Quinn - Best player on the pitch
Boyd - Very good runs down the right side especially 2nd half
Harper - Excellent kicking and claiming crosses, great to have two class keepers instead of the usual zero

Sagbo did some great touches but they weren't really progressive enough and he didn't take on his man, although to be fair to him he is not really a winger. Rosie was steady. Dudge was fairly poor I thought. Henderson looked like a worse version of Cairney in the little time he got, play bypassed him quite a lot. Faye was first to the ball pretty much every time, but I could imagine him being turned easily if he attempted the same in the prem. I would play a back four of; Fig-Davies-Faye-Rosie until chester returns.

I thought everyone did alright, without pulling up any trees. I thought the first half was decent enough, Sagbo linked up with Dudgeon and Quinn and they played some nice stuff, Matty was also unlucky not to score. The second half was fairly dire, a lot of players went missing and it all got scrappy.

Bruce made some good interceptions, but several of them were only necessary because he'd just passed the ball to a Huddersfield player. We might get away with that against Huddersfield reserves, but not against West Ham, I can't believe people on Humberside were calling for him to start on Saturday.

    For me,

Faye - Was solid at the back, made some brilliant interceptions, his ball control was quality and his passing was accurate. I thought he showed his form from the end of last Season in that match, their forward (who ended up being subbed on 50 mins or something) couldn't cope against him.
Meyler - Played very well in the anchoring midfield position. He made some crucial tackles, held possession well and his distribution was very good. He doesn't have the attacking flair that comes with Aluko/Brady/Livermore/Huddlestone but he certainly took charge of that midfield.
Quinn - Was the creativity throughout that game. He had the vision and quality to get the City attacks going. He paired well with Meyler in midfield and played some nice stuff.

P.S. What was that number 30 all about? I don't think I saw him make one accurate pass. <laugh>

    Conor Henderson.

Considering he has done nowt but reserve matches for virtually his whole career so far, I did expect him to be a little poor. He'll come good the more he plays.
