Fond memories of pre-season in Scotland. Remember watching us beat Hibs when we had no team to win the "Whyte and Mackay Trophy". Incidentally the only piece of silverware we've one while I've been alive.

 

I went up for that game too Simon. There were a few scuffles on the way to the game I seem to remember?

There was however a sexy copper who blushed when we started singing at her.

 

Not sure, I was in the Hibs end because I think we were told something about only members getting tickets for our end? Were certainly a few Leeds fans around me.

 

I went up to that too, forgot about the policewoman! All her male colleagues were laughing along if I remember rightly!

Thank fook I`m away already that weekend, would have been gutted if it had been against someone, or somewhere, good!

 

Sya everything about the club these days, ambition = 0. Saying that I reckon theyve got there eye or a couple of players up there/ Remeber last season? we went to Slovakia and those Slovakian youngsters joined up, one players for national U21 as a defender, but couldnt make it at Leeds :/

perhaps another Robert Snodgrass is in line

 

Seem to remember a few fights on way back to station as well a few chairs got thrown from a pub.

 

The Benfica rumours seem to have come to nothing oh well looks like its the costa del clyde for us .

Leicester have got Real Madrid visiting why can we not attract a top european side to Elland Road
we are twinned with Dortmund why not give them a game Bates could get the council to pay the costs as a twinning exercise.

 

French Ligue 1 winners Lille are twinned with us as well, plus there's other cities like Brno and Durban which have top-division football teams. How good would a pre-season cup at Elland Road have been with Leeds, Dortmund, Lille and Brno. Would easily have paid for itself.

 

Good call, Dortmund romped the Bundesliga this season as well, will be dark horses in CL next season.
