What on earth has happened to this guy?! He made a really promising start last season before Callum McManatwat decided to rearrange his leg, and even put in some decent performances following his miraculous recovery, but this season he has completely vanished off the face of the earth, not making a match day squad even once. I understand that Dummett has climbed above him in the LB slot, but to not hear anything is a bit weird...

He's available, maybe just needs to get a bit confidence back after having such a bad injury.

He's just returned to training so barring any relapses he should be featuring in some match day squads soon

Back soon. If Debuchy doesn't buck his ideas up I'd drop him play Haidara and move Santon over. To be honest I'd be tempted to do that now with Dummett.

This. Debuchy doesn't seem to be the player I thought he was.

Debuchy and Santon are a couple of class acts, they just both seem to have lost it at the same time.

Still think we should move Santon upfield and use him as a forward. Good pace, decent crosser and can take people on.

Decent crosser? We'll have to agree to disagree on that front. It's like watching Jonas in his first few seasons here, he can't kick the ball off the floor...

To be honest, I advocate dropping Santon and Debuchy and just starting with a CB 3. It'd be horrible to watch, but so is what we have to put up with now... At least we'd have one more attacking option though.

If what you've got isn't working, change it.

With the coaches failing to notice what foot David Santon is more comfortable with and the immergence of Paul Dummet, Haidara is in danger of having a colossal setback in his career. Newcastle should take care of him and loan him immediately to bring him back up to speed and give him a chance to stake a claim in the first team again.

When is Raylor supposed to be back?

tbh is he comes back the player he was, Raylor for me every game at rb ahead of Debuchy right now. Debuchy needs to be taken out of the firing line. He's been at fault for a lot of the goals we've been shipping lately. All 3 on saturday came down his side.
