I just realised, Matthew Fletcher wasn't playing for the reserves today, he was playing for the U21's.

If he qualifies for our U21's, presumably he could be added to our Premier League squad without being one of the 25?

I believe you're allowed 3 over 21 players in the U-21's. If hes not 21 or turned 21 this year yet then yes he can. Though I couldn't see it happening. It would be some fairy tale story going from being released by Oxford and Cambridge to playing in the premier league...

According to Soccerbase, he's 20(not 21 until December).

If he is 21 during the season he still is eligible as he doesn't turn 21 before the first registry window.

I cannot imagine Faye playing tomorrow and Macca is still a doubt for the weekend, so they may have to be a bit imaginative with the defence.

Meyler will definitely play, as will Bomber and Fryatt with probably Sagbo on the wing.

I just can't see Brucie risking anyone who might play on Saturday, given what's at stake, and rightly so.

Plenty of changes for #hcafc in the League Cup tomorrow night. Alex Bruce, Faye, Meyler, Boyd, Sagbo, Fryatt & Proschwitz all set for starts

    @PJBuckingham 3h
Joe Dudgeon also fit to play after shaking off his injury #hcafc

    @PJBuckingham 2h
Gedo set for a place on the bench but no Calaum Jahraldo-Martin, who's out with a foot injury #hcafc

    Sagbo, Fryatt and Prozzy?

That surely means Sagbo is playing out wide then.

Good news on Dudgeon. Don't believe he'll risk Gedo for more than a 20 minute cameo at most. Interested to see how Henderson does. So it looks like

    Harper

    Bruce Faye Dudgeon

    Henderson Meyler Quinn (?) Boyd

    Sagbo Proschwitz Fryatt (Gedo)

If we don't win it'll be disappointing, that looks a strong line-up.

The stats from BBC for the match...

    Head-to-head

Hull have lost just one of their last six meetings with Huddersfield in all competitions at home, winning four and drawing one. They won both matches in their clashes in the Championship last season.

The Terriers have won just one of their last five games against Hull (all in the league), losing three and drawing one.

This is their first meeting in the League Cup.

    Hull City

Hull have been eliminated in their last six third-round League Cup matches, scoring just once in that run.

The Tigers are unbeaten at home in five games in all competitions, and have suffered defeat in just two of their last 11 home games (in all competitions).

    Huddersfield

Huddersfield have kept three clean sheets in their last five third-round away ties, although they have only scored three times in that period.

They are now unbeaten in their last three matches.

James Vaughan is the Championship's top scorer with seven goals this season.

We are only playing the Udders FFS. Sagbo is supposed to be fit and strong so it should not be a problem FFS.
Plus he has just had 3 weeks off. Should not be an issue unless he is the lazy type. <whistle>

Good news. Maybe be needed for X-time ?

Try a little harder then. Faye will play and he needs to play. Good news about Dudgeon being fit.

We should be far too strong for the Udders regardless. Plus as they have a friday night league game against Blackpool @ home (live on sky sports) Udders will also make changes due to the short turnaround period.

Hope that Anthony Gerrard gets a start tonight though. We can exploit his lack of pace.

We do but i expect SB to play 3-5-2- tonight. Big Shame that CJM is injured as he was one of the few highlights at Orient when he came on.

    Huddersfield play Blackpool on Friday!
Mates a Terriers fan and said they will be making several changes because the games a day earlier.. 400 away fans is a good turnout considering that.
I have immense respect for the HTSA guys after Huddersgate all very supportive.

When did they sign Paterson? Also no Vaughn? Surprise that, maybe they're just coming to make up the numbers. Hopefully fills up a bit closer to kick off. Looking a bit sparse so far!
