I thought about putting him in but he's 40/1, well down the list but not unrealistic Ideally i'd love mancini but it aint gonna happen its hard to decide for me from those 7 di matteo or zola, gonna ponder some more
Don't understand the Gary Neville shouts at all. Decent player,.great analyst but zero.evidence that he's at all equipped to take on this task.
Can I be the first to admit that I've got no idea!! None of the names that are being trotted out at the minute are particularly inspiring - Poyet being the best of that bunch I think, but even then he's got no experience at the highest level. I would like to think that the board would come up with somebody like Southampton and Swansea did but knowing our board they'll do a Wolves!! I want somebody that is going to come in and get us playing decent football - Gary Neville might be a good shout
Honestly don`t know. Not convinced about DM, Never liked Pulis or his teams and McLaren`s a tit. Zola or Poyet? possibly. Depends on who`s daft enough to come here I suppose.
I voted for Poyet , even though this mornings Grauniad says he has reservations about taking the job.
Soton and Swansea got their managers by going for the ones that suited their current styles thus preventing the upset of new manager looking to exert himself. I just hope to God we get someone capable of lifting us out of the bottom three; don't think it will be a monumental task but more like a rally the troops. As it stands now though the players have something to prove to everbody as they have nowhere to hide now.
No surprise though that he has reservations - I was offered a job with a new NHS organisation up here but it's an uncertain future with the government so I had reservations - I think you can comfortably say that, after recent times, SAFC managers face an uncertain future!
Voted Zola Italian connection better football mind than Di Canio and hopefully better man management style!
Anyone think Short might hold off any appointment until after the Liverpool & Man Utd games even if a replacement could be brought in beforehand?
SSN said we wont appoint anyone this week, so may be after the Liverpool game before Man U I voted other RDM - I dont think he is good enough, he was fair at WBA and lucky to win CL with Chelski Pulis - Will our player suit is preferred style of play, dont think so. Zola - Yes whe would fit our style of play, but after West Ham is he equipped for the PL So in a nut shell, i wouldnt like to be Ellis Short, as basically this decision will define our season. But if i had millions riding on it like Ellis, I would have to pull out all the stops to get Mancini. He and De Fanti already know each other, so could that swing it. Being a realist i know its unlikely but stranger things have happened in football.
I voted A.N.Other cos i haven't a clue who i want, i have a feeling that it won't be anyone on that list, probably be a complete surprise name. I just hope it's soon.
The more I think about Neville, the more I think he may be worth a shot..He seems very astute, has served many years under the best manager of this generation and seems very calm and collected. We have been down the experienced tried and tested route without success , and in my opinion the gamble of having someone with a fresh approach may be worth the gamble. Apart from that, he is firmly entrenched in the environmentalist camp, so is a man out of my own heart..
I do I can see us winning our next three games. The calls for Bally to get the job will become deafening. Mr Short will say "OK then" From that day on we'll get 2 more points for the rest of the season and Championship bound we are. It could happen...
