    Hi

This is a real long shot one of my hobbies is Family History. I have just come across a report in the Bucks Herald of 1892 that shows my Great Grandfather playing for Wycombe Wanderers in a 5-0 victory at Aylesbury Printing Works. He did go on to win the Berks & Bucks Junior cup in 1898 (which I have the medal) does anybody know of a Wycombe web site with all the really old players on & fixtures it could save me an awful lot of time.

    This link might help

    http://www.chairboys.co.uk/

Click the "History & Archive" link on the left hand side under the heading "The Club".

That takes you to a new page. On that page, click "The Complete Record" link on the left of the panel in the centre of the page.

That gives you all the results since about 1887.

    Hope it helps.

I scored 2 goals at Loakes Park playing for Wycombe and District schoolboys.

If only I had made it into the real Wycombe team I could be showing my grand children (I'm old but have no great grand children).

You must be very proud Phil.

Thanks Ron at least I have the dates it might be the only game he played was in the 1892/1893 season at Aylesbury next time I go up to Wycombe I will have to look at the old Free Presses. Yes it does make you proud that I went to the game Saturday with son & grandaughter that made her the sixth generation who have watched the Wanderers
