Looks like Cleverleys days in the England, and probably Man U's, squad are numbered. Sundays debacle must have demonstrated to Noyes how poor he is. I'm sure Woy was watching that one. Heres a comment from TalkSports on the need for upgrades in ManU's MF.

"Midfielders are usually one of two sorts, ‘defensive hard-man’ or ‘creative spark’. Tom Cleverley is neither of those. In fact he doesn’t know what he is. Not good enough to partner Michael Carrick as the attacking force in a midfield duo, he looks to have lost his place in the team to new signing Marouane Fellaini, who will allow the England star a role further up the field. Players can make a career of being industrious, Quinton Fortune survived seven seasons at Old Trafford, but Cleverley will never have the sheer physical capabilities of Fellanini, or the attacking nous of Paul Scholes. The time has come for a change."

Ok Woy...when are you going to call up Huddlestone in his place??? And Davies too?

Five games in and we all want Huddlestone to run the England midfield! Given his injury record over the last few years I'll be glad if he just stays fit until Christmas.

I'm not bothered about him being actually being on the pitch for England, but he should be at least in the squad.

    Rather him then ****ing Cleverley...

I'm not a negative person but this will read as negative. Given that we are running everything through Huddlestone and have nothing like that kind of calibre as back up, I fear for the times when he will be out injured as will happen during the course of the season.

Can we clone him from shards of his barnet?

Great performance from all on Saturday - we will miss Chezzy but at least have decent cover there.

Why am I still banned from your board? I made one joke about Demba Ba picking cotton and the banhammer came down. Surely my time's up by now?

Oh, and you should be a City fan, given you're from ***** Central. Sorry, I mean Brid.

I'm getting annoyed by this 'oh, he might get injured while he's away'. He is just as likely to get injured while here! There's no real difference.

Hard to disagree with the Brid comment. I went to Headlands.. A school where a few teachers have been nabbed. Check your PM mate.

So very true. Good luck for most of your remaining games this season. At least you look set fair to finish above the Mackems. Lol.

So very true. You have to go back to the 80's and the days when we had Messrs. Horton - Askew - McClaren - Parker in our midfield for such quality of passing.

Hope that by cutting it Huddlestone does not have a Samson moment ?

Even Man Utd fans want rid of Tom Cleverley these days. Agree TC not not top class at all.

I have a sad feeling Thudd's first City goal will a really scurffy 1yd tap-in, rather than his usual 35yd blockbusters.

A goal is a goal though, now matter how technically fantastic.

I predict it'll be a glancing header off his 9ft diameter afro in the 2017/2018 season as we're vying for the champions league places.

That's the most ridiculous and unrealistic comment ever on this board Thudds Afro will not be anywhere close to 9ft wide by then.
